After catching up on this thread this morning I can only wish that those of you who were not feeling well last night, feel better today.

Robyn -- I am glad the tree missed Emma's bedroom and that the basement stayed dry.

Well, now that I have been able to see things in the daylight, I found one minor catastrophe. The little ceramic pot with a marigold in it that Nicholas sponge painted for me for Mother's Day was blown over and shattered.

Has your leaking stopped?

The track appears to be dry this morning. We have not ventured out to look in our crawl space yet. Hope there are no surprises there.

Hi everyone--I just need to vent-so feel free to skip this post!

On Wednesday, I start my senior year of college. This is my last semester of classes, as I will begin student teaching in january. Tonight, I get an email that my Friday education class (required to graduate) may be cancelled due to an emergency with the professor. There is one other time to take it, when i already have class, so I cannot make it..If I dont take this class, I wont graduate.
I have been talking to alot of people from my classes and no one has any clue what is going on...They said they dont want to reschedule this class, which really messes us all up..
on top of that, our advisor left last semester, so we dont even have anyone to email to see what to do!

Sorry for the vent guys---im just stressing!

Jen, That does sound stressful. I hope that the school comes through and reschedules the class, or finds some way to accomodate you. That would really suck if after all your hard work and planning you would delay graduation. that you get something worked out.

Thanks, I'm just thrilled! I'm so excited because Jamie is from upstate New York. I'm not sure of the town. If she decides to have the wedding at her home, I might be able to meet some of the NY DDA'ers, depending on the location. Stay tuned, people!

Congratulations Glynis! And it would be great if you had to visit Upstate NY, although I think that may refer to the entire state minus NYC... We call ourselves upstate or western ny here in Rochester.

Well, I need to be off to clean the rest of the house before my sister's family arrives later today. It looks like our clambake tomorrow may be held in the garage thanks to the remnants of Ernesto. Thankfully DH cleaned it all up yesterday, just in case.

Glad to hear that everyone else made it through Ernesto pretty well so far. Hopefully my sister driving up from Philly today won't have any problems

Good morning DDA!! It is a bright sunny day so we are finally on for the zoo!! YIPPEE!! I think my sister and the kids are going too so that will be fun. We're going to IHOP first, then the zoo and finally Ted Drewes...FINALLY!!

I was thinking something along those lines last night too.

The other thing was... do you think the rest of the creative disigns people would mind if we started a thread for all of June's messages and well wishes. I know there have been several on here in the last day or so, which she probably won't find as they're buried under our banter! If we pulled them all out into one thread and pm'd her the link she could read them - or we could email the link to Melanie and she could print them out and take them to June.

And back to bed I go. Phil had called and woke me up asking for help in finding a hotel for the night. He is just in to Pennsylvania around Allentown so he still has about 16 hours to go. And that's not counting any slow down caused by Ernesto. When I looked at the weather map tonight, PA was all one big mass of green, carrying over into all surrounding states at least some as well. Take care everyone else who is in it too.

Phil, he was about 45 minutes from me. Sending for a safe journey with very little issues from Ernesto.

Although it is still raining here and windy and a not so warm high today of 68 degrees. But it feels so much chillier due to the wind.

I hope tomorrow is nice enough so that I can go to Hersheypark. I was supposed to go last Sunday but it rained and has rained everyday since.

Hi, Geri! I'm having a great, great evening!!! I just got a call from my younger brother. He was calling to let me know when he and his girlfriend were getting here tonight. I can't wait to see him!!!!! Then, he drobs a bomb: He and DGF are getting married!!!!! He just barely proposed and called me first thing! I'm so EXCITED!!!!! I love this girl, and she has done wonders for my brother! I can't wait until she's legally my sister!!!!!

I probably shouldn't post this as I will once again be a brat but my 20th high school reunion will be in 2020. Talk about cool numbers.

Although I'm not the youngest around here there are other who are younger than me.

That is true. There are places that I refer to as "downstate" that refer to themselves as "upstate". We are in the Southern Tier, though that stretches very far to the west, too. In Buffalo, we always said "Western NY", not upstate.

I did loads of playing. One in this mode, one in that, just to learn how different things change it. I was there a week less than you and took 1700.

You definitely win! Though I flip-flopped my numbers before. I actually took just over 2100.
