IMMEDIATE PRAYERS NEEDED PLEASE!!!

Dawn just called me. Caroline is in the NICU, because she choked on her spit-up this afternoon to the point she couldn't breathe and had a seizure. Luckily, she and Dawn had just been to the doctor, so they rushed back and he stopped the seizure. She's had a spinal and she's about to undergo an EEG. So far everything has come back positive, so they're praying the seizure was a result of her lack of air. Hopefully Caroline just has an extreme case of reflux, but they won't know for a few hours yet.

I will keep you updated as soon as I hear anything else!

OMG!! I began crying just reading this. :grouphug: :grouphug: and :wizard: :wizard: that this is a one time thing and that she fully recovers. I truly wish I could help in some way.

Thanks to all who volunteered to take Stanley!! :teeth: The kids are very excited. I will PM you for your addresses....

Just got a call from Jonathan...he's coming home this weekend. I am very surprised...

Maybe he just misses his mom's home cooking!

I did a search on the web and there were at least three websites about Pooh that spelled it the way you did above.

I'm so distracted waiting for Dawn to call (and there's no guarantee she will call tonight) that I didn't even realize it was a Pooh reference. I get an F tonight.

I can't sleep -- I feel yucky still and Paul is working tonight. Would you believe that some kids in the neighborhood decided tonight is a good night to play ring and run?? Now I'm shaking and nervous!

That's great, Kristine. I think. I just hope it's not one of those things where he says hi mom, drops his laundry, and heads out to see his friends. Oh, I remember those good ole days!

ETA: Oops. I just saw the above post.

Is anyone here familiar with the "Flat Stanley" Project??

In a nut shell: (this is our letter)

Hi there!!
As part of our integrated Reading, Writing, Language, Social Studies, and Mathematics programs we have read a funny book called Flat Stanley by Jeff Brown. The book is about a young boy named Stanley who is accidentally squished "as flat as a pancake" when a bulletin board falls on him. Stanley is very, very flat but otherwise fine. The story goes on to tell how Stanley discovers some real advantages to being flat. He can slide under doors, go down into sidewalk grates, and even fold himself up small enough to fit into an envelope and be mailed to California for an exciting vacation.
We are sending FLAT STANLEY to visit cities all over America and the WORLD. I have selected you to be FLAT STANLEY's "host family" and hope that you will send him back to me after a short visit. We would also appreciate it if you could snap a few pictures of Stanley’s visit so we can put them in our journal.
Thank you for letting my FLAT STANLEY come to visit you!

I am looking for volunteers!! Anyone willing to take on a Stanley??

He could visit CO if he wants!!

I have often wondered why kids would think that's fun?!

I picture him doing a whole lot of sleeping....think he's having trouble adjusting to life in a 10 x 10 room with another guy!

Well after phoning the police - I watched them run up the street and inbetween a couple of houses. So at 9:55 at night I called that neighbor. (who happens to have teenage boys). I told her two boys just ran onto her property and I believe they were the ones that were messing around... so if they are hers, she should know what's going on and if they are not hers, then she should know there are two teenagers lurking in her backyard.

Did I mention he's bringing home a bag of laundry??

Just remember this when he calls you someday to tell you he's bringing home his fiance...

Deb -- we had that same problem! I finally found the slimmest cut at Gap (they have 4 or more different cuts) and that worked for Andrew. I hope you have success with your box of jeans! I agree -- clothes (and people) seem to be getting bigger for the most part. I have to confess, though, there are a lot of cute Disney shirts for women they are cut on the small size. These 36DDs don't fit in some of them....

Speaking of things being cut wrong. Why don't they make bras and lingerie that actually fit a busty woman without making us look like an old lady? I have a big bust and need underwire to hold things up if you know what i mean and most lingerie doesn't have enough support. It is frusterating. I don't want old lady undergarments. :rotfl2:

Congrats to the new one and his family!!

I bet there's some yelling going on at that house!
