Our you wanting to swap. Olivia has not seen the movie yet. Havent had time.
So she would not know the difference.
I'd love to but our regular one is beat up because it has been played with a lot. I'll buy it from you if you find what you want and decide to get rid of it.

I didn't know that. We love Austin! Brian lived there for 4 years when they still had the Air Force base. We visited friends there about 10 years ago and haven't been back since. It's absolutely beautiful! If I would agree to move there Brian would have the for sale sign up in our yard tomorrow!!

Sipping drinks at the Oasis :cloud9: Pure heaven!
The Oasis is only about 15-20 miles from my House.

Thanks. We got them an orange, blue, and pink backpack from Lands End. But BK wants a Barbie lunchbox, Davis wants Scooby Doo, and Rees wants a jet. I found a place that can embroider the jet that looks like his shirt Paula made. He'll love it.

One more question. What characters are considered baby now and should be avoided? I presume Bob the Builder, but what about Thomas the Tank Engine?

I also sent these questions out to my triplet club.

I kind of answered this in my last post. For the boys, I would unfortunately stay away from the Pooh gang. I just asked Miles, and he said that he didn't think Thomas was babyish, but he doesn't really know much about Thomas. He also doesn't remember the incident from K about the Tigger shirt/hat either.

If you decide to come back to Austin to visit again let me know. OR if you finally decide to move here let me know.

Denise and Lynn,

Here is my LSU purse:

A little farther out with the tiger stripes showing:

This is the back of the purse. There are pockets where you see the tiger stripes in the middle. Most of her purses have something on the back like LSU, but I liked the plain look:

I had to wash it since someone spilled their nachos on it, so it's a little wrinkled and out of shape. I just need to iron it. She also made pockets for the inside that come out. It's like an organizer.

Very cute bag!!! Of course I think it would look better in black and red :thumbsup2 My mom gave me a DAWG purse with matching wallet for my birthday in January. I used it until Mother's Day when my daughter gave me a Tinker Bell purse w/ matching wallet. I was just thinking the other day that it is getting close to needing my DAWG purse again.

Can you tell I'm stressing a little over my "babies" starting Kindergarten? I can't believe 3 weeks from today they'll be at school...

We got all their school supplies this weekend. I'm seriously going to have a coronary when they get on that bus. Ok, I'm crying now just thinking about it. John is taking the whole day off to stay home with me that day, thank goodness!

I'd be stressing, too! We have 7 weeks + 2 days, and I'm already starting to feel a bit stressed about having them all back in school, too. Especially since we'll be gone for 2 of those weeks. Dd's best friend (and her mother is mine) will be gone at the end of this week for a week and a half. Then dd goes to synchro swimming camp (sleep away) for the week before we head to Disney. It is all making the summer seem to go by way, way too FAST!!!

Tink2020,

Have you started work yet? If so how's it going?

Yeah, I started a few weeks ago. It's ok..... i'm really just waiting for a transfer to the PICU or RCNIC. I personally just don't like being on the wards. I picked this unit because the acuity is pretty high for a med-surg floor, but it's still just not what I want. I talked with the manager of the PICU, and their first opening is in October. It was too late for me to start work, but now that I started I can't transfer until December 26th (6 months). So I'm just waiting it out, and starting school again in the fall to just go straight through.

LOVE the kiddos, though, and the organization itself! :goodvibes

ETA: Thanks for asking :)

I think it's killing me cause they're all going at once. Then I won't have anyone at home and no more babies in our future. I guess it just makes it very final in a way.

That is definitely part of it. I can't imagine how hard that must be. When Matthew went to K, I still had Laura just starting two day preschool. When Laura started K, I suspected (though hadn't confirmed) that I was pregnant with Miles. When Miles went, I felt that sense of it being so final, but at least I was able to spread it out. Plan something special for you that day!

Yup! I did pack Katie's lunch for a while, but she was always forgetting to take it, and I'd have to run it to the school. Very frustrating!

Our school has a wonderful lunch program. They always have 2 choices plus a full salad bar. I'm always surprised when Katie gets home and tells me she had shrimp and salad for lunch. They really try to get the kids to try new things. It's a good thing!

That does sound like a great program. The elementary lunches aren't so great here. Miles almost never wants to buy. In middle school, it is too hard to buy lunch (too crowded, not enough time, etc), so Laura never buys. Matthew had his first year at the high school last year, and he bought almost every day. Apparently the choices are much better, and it's a lot easier, too.

I was told that the kids here never carry a lunch box to middle school, because it wasn't "cool." Matthew carried one all the way through. Laura carried one in 6th grade and half of 7th. She finally gave it up, because everyone who didn't have a lunch box was asking her to carry their leftovers, and she was annoyed.

I've been worried about something all morning and you ladies have been a nice distraction. Now that I can stop worrying I better get some laundry and house cleaning done. Thanks for keeping me company.

One more thing before I go, though. If y'all would keep my brother in your thoughts/prayers, I'd appreciate it. He's been having some severe abdominal pain and has been in the ER since 4am this morning. He's pretty stubborn so for him to go there means he's in a tremendous amount of pain. My mom said they gave him 3 shots of Dilaudin (I think that's the name, no clue how to spell it - it's a painkiller) and he's still having pain. He's had 2 hernia surgeries and has had gallbladder problems in the past. They don't think it's his gallbladder this time but they're sending him home with instructions to follow up with his PCP. We're not too happy about that, but what can you do?

Texas summers are pretty hot. It would proabally be best to do a spring or fall meet. But whenever you want.

Some 12's, some 8's, all days. It's kind of a goofy schedule. The obvious benefit to 12 hour shifts is the fact that you have 3 days on and 4 days off. But since I work a mixture, I tend to work 12's AND still only have 3 off :confused3 :rotfl: I'ts ok though. I like days, so really neither shift bothers me too much.
