I have some too and love them. Also love New Balance ones I have. But I don't think I am wearing them tomorrow... depends on whether or not I decide to wear shorts instead of capris.

How long a drive is it from the Lancaster/York area Becky? We did it three weeks ago and I can't remember!
About two hours. from once I get to Steffy/Terry However I have about an additional hour to that. If I was driving straight from here it is about 2 hours and 45 minutes. But that is if the cars are moving. :teeth:

I know my math doesn't add up that is because I am detouring to get to Terry/Steffy and it will take longer.

I found a picture of them

I vote for eating somewhere cool with lots of cold beverages and then going somewhere with lots of cold beverages and AC and talking a lot... :rotfl:

Hear hear I agree

Yeah... 90 minute tours take off from Union Station which would be easily accessible by Metro from the Pentagon City station right near our hotel. I think the $32 fee is very reasonable so maybe we could do that tomorrow late in the afternoon after Robyn and Theresa leave us? Or maybe early Sunday a.m. When are you flying out? and what about Terry? is she leaving from DC to go to Atlanta too?

I have to be at the airport sunday at about 2pm

OMG!!!!!!! SIL A and I made a website for SIL T
www.helptammy.com

WOW was that hard to do with kids running around and calling SIL A every hour I think it was about all the things we wanted to get in it.
Let me know what you think of the job we did. Keep in mind that we have a lot of work yet, but we did this in about 7 hours.
Thank you.

rosiejo--I hope you get to spend tons of time with your husband! It's cool that you celebrate the anniversary of the first day you met. DH & I always go out to celebrate the anniversary of our first date (8 years ago this August).

It would have been nice to have gotten married on that day... but there was just no way we were going to Florida in July so we settled on November instead! Spreads the anniversaries out :rotfl:

Thanks. It was a lot of fun! Katie and her 8 closest friends invaded my house! First of all, I had bought them all canvas tote bags, and with flour and water paste I freehanded an ice cream cone on the front. I did that last night, and when the girls got here today, I gave them some fabric spray paint, and let them get artistic. Once the paint dried they peeled off the paste and had a darling bag to take home.

We played a rousing game of Pin the Cherry on the Ice Cream Cone, a version of Hot Potato (using a stuffed ice cream cone), and had an ice cream eating contest. Then they got to make their own ice cream sundaes. Most of them built these wonderful concoctions, but when it came right down to it, their eyes were bigger than their stomachs! I don't think anyone finished their bowl of ice cream. But they had fun trying. After Katie opened her presents, I handed out the loot to put in their bags. I had gone to the dollar store and bought ice cream scoops for them all, Baskin Robbins ice cream flavored hard candies, a gummy "make your own ice cream cone" kit, ice cream stickers, crazy straws, ice cream bubbles, ice cream play dough and to top it off I bought salt water taffy in ice cream flavors and gave them each a handful of that.

They were very pleased with it all, and I didn't spend a fortune! Alan was pleased about that! I'll try to get some pictures uploaded tonight!

Sounds like a fantastic birthday party Glynis!

The picture is of the longer version. They didn't have a picture of the short version online. However, it shows the colors, etc. The floor plan is the one we got (the bathroom on the other end from the bedroom). We had looked at them online and liked that floor plan the best. Neither of us want anything too long for hauling and since it will most likely be just the two of us, it is the perfect size.

We went to our local dealer and they had one left of the exact one we liked online. They gave us like a 1/3 off list since it is a 2006 model and they need to make room for the 2007. It has all the bells & whistles - surround sound, air conditioner, hide-a-bed recliner couch, glass shower doors, and tinted windows. It is really easy to winterize. It is considered a 4 season trailer.

WOw - that sounds amazing! Better than some people's houses :rotfl:

I figure 10 years down the road, our grandkids will love the bunk beds! I figure that is long enough to let my babies grow up, meet someone & fall in love, get married, have some "couple" time and then give me the grandbabies that I want.

You really do have it all planned out! :lmao: :lmao:

Three things….

1st I am sorry that my only posts these past few days have been about my family issues. They have taken over our lives and the only silver lining so far is the Detroit Free Press publishing an article on SIL T. I have much more to tell you all about this, but I am working fast with SIL A to build a website about this issue. This brings on item #2.

2nd Has anyone ever heard of having an ebay auction that sells hope in a box or something that is really just for people to send donations? Why? SIL A says her friend has seen this where the “buyer” just sends donations to help with something like raising money for a cause. I am going to look on ebay, but I have no clue what to look for so I will be on search mode for some time.

3rd I will be on and off the next few days for more than one reason. I will be working on making things to sell on ebay to pay for things SIL T might need (ticket for my niece to come out WHEN we get that fix, arrangements for SIL T service when the time comes and any extra expenses my MIL has to take on). So late nights will be my best friend.

Again I thank you for all your thoughts and prayers.

Paula - you have no need to apologise - we are all here for you :grouphug:

I ran a search for "donation" on ebay and found this one http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DONATION-TO-S...5QQihZ002QQcategoryZ63513QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem It looks like you just set up a normal auction - with a buy it now for the donation amount and post some info about why you are doing the auction.

:wizard:

Paula - that site is just beautiful. Could you set up a paypal account and add a link on the How you Can Help page so that people can send donations? A guest book might be a nice addition too so friends and relatives can leave messages.

Good luck

ETA you could add a link to the site in your sig too :goodvibes
