I will be back in a little bit. I need to go put Emma to bed and then clean the kitchen. I have done nothing today but nap quite a bit. I had to start back up my medicine (Diamox) yesterday as the humidity has really been affecting me. Not only have I had some horrible headaches but my left ear has been whooshing which means the pressure is pretty high in my head. The medicine has horrible side affects on me, extreme exhaustion, numbness in my hands and feet, horrible indigestion, and having to go to the bathroom all the time. The upside is that it totally wipes out my thrist for carbonated beverages as it makes them taste horrible. I hope it doesn't take long for me to get readjusted to the medicine.

Sending :wizard: :wizard: that you are feeling better soon. You deserve to take it easy if you feel like that. :grouphug:

Good question :teeth: :rotfl: :rotfl2: Sorry the weather down there can be so fickle especially in January. I remember wearing tank tops and shorts and sweating only to find myself scrapping ice off my windshield a few days later in several layers of clothing as it was below 32 degrees F.

If it gets that cold watch out for the people who don't understand you need to scrape the ice off and instead blast there car defroster and drive off as soon as they got in the car hanging their head out the window like a dog until the windshield clears. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: The first time I witnessed it I couldn't believe people would do that. I'm waiting for the accident when two people are driving along with their heads hanging out the window and they bump heads. :teeth:

I would make sure to pack lots of layers so shorts, t-shirts, capris, long pants, long sleeve tees, and sweat shirts. A good mix of things so that you can mix and match and adjust according to the weather throughout the day. If it is chilly you will probably start out the day and end the day in a sweatshirt or more. You might also want to bring a hat, gloves and scarf just in case it gets chilly because they are not easy to find. :thumbsup2

I am sure that you will have a blast exploring the Florida parks :cool1: and I know you will do awesome in the half marathon. :thumbsup2

Thanks, Becky! I guess I'll just have to prepare myself for anything! Hey, it means I can make sweatshirts for DH and me as well as T's, right? Now, there's a plus!!!!

Ok, I'm supposed to be working on putting our budget together. While we were in Green Bay today for Chuck's specialist appointment (that is a thread for later), we stopped to look at travel trailers. We have been talking about upgrading our pop-up to a regular travel trailer since Chuck has been having his joint issues. We looked online last night at some Jayco ones and picked one that we liked. We stopped at a big dealership in Green Bay and didn't really like them as well as the Jayco we saw online. We stopped at our local Jayco dealer in Iron Mountain when we got home. They have the exact one that we were thinking about and it has all the bells and whistles. It is a 2006 model so is clearanced price (I never quite understand that but I guess they have to make room for the 2007's which will be out in the next month or so). It is reduced by $7000. They think that our pop-up is probably worth $3000. We can get financing and the interest is tax deductible because it has a bathroom, bedroom & kitchen.

Here it is. We would get the 26' version. That is all we need. It has two bunk beds in the back for the girls if they come (or our grandbabies in 5-10 years  if we are so lucky).

Here is the floor plan.
http://www.jayco.com/html/catalog/floorplans.php?prod_id=95

Now, I have to get off the DDA and put together the info to show Chuck that we can afford this. I know that it will cut into my Disney trips, but my new plan is to travel around the country and meet my DDA friends!!!! Chuck says that he would do that with me in this (& after we get a new vehicle to pull it because our suburban isn't reliable). We pay off both our vehicles within the year so next summer we could afford another vehicle payment!!!! So I could be knocking on DDA doors as early as next summer!!! :woohoo:

Vicki, As I was reading the beginning I was thinking and the DDA road tour begins and lo and behold you posted that as a kind of plan at the end. Good luck it sounds like an awesome. :wizard: that you can get it to work out for you and Chuck.

Wow I did not realize so many were going. You are all going to have so much fun! Please take lots of pictures :thumbsup2

Wow, when you put it like that, I might actually be interesting!
To you it seems like a normal boring life. For others who have not closely known famous people and had father's who have statues about them your live is interesting. It is all about your perspective versus other's perspective of your life.

Sending :grouphug: and :wizard: to everyone that I have missed in my posting.

I would so suck as a single mom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:teeth:

Things are really looking up around here though!!!

Steve's company was in doubt as to its success - due to a law that needed to be repealed - it was and things are taking off like gangbusters!!! Which means good things for us financially!!!! On top of everything else going on in our lives - we have actually been very concerned that his company was going to close - leaving him jobless and more importantly - us without health insurance -

now that those concerns and Nick's health concerns are over - things are really good at our house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hooray, :cool1: :cool1: I am so glad that you can stop stressing about things so much.

Chuck saw the specialist again today. The news wasn't exactly what we were hoping for. Basically, he said it's now a waiting game. It still could be rheumatoid arthritis. How will we know? If the pain comes back! He is to start cutting back 1/2 tablet a day each week of the prednisone (he takes 4-5mg tablets a day). If he needs it and it helps, he can take the celebrex. His shoulders have been bothering him still quite a bit so the doctor gave him shots in both of cortisone? or whatever it is the athletes get. The doctor did take x-rays of his shoulders since he didn't last time. He is also repeating the lyme test that was done up here just to make sure that the test wasn't bad. So, we wait! Have I told you guys that I'm not a very patient person??!!
Sorry Vicki, just keep taking deep breaths. Deep breath in, deep breath out. Sending :wizard: that you actually get something figured out.

I sold Pampered Chef as well, and then it fizzled out around here. I hate all the follow up as well. I will say that PC is set up a lot better than TS and is much easier to do. This has been a major downer with TS as I love the stuff and use it just about everyday.

I have been trying to come up with something to do from home as well and I keep hitting a brick wall. I have had fun planning this shower and thought that I could do something like that, event planning I guess you would call it, but it would be way to time consuming to do from home. Maybe when I move to Michigan I can talk to my cousin. She is not married and has no kids and does stuff like this now only for major corporations. Only thing she hates is travelling all the time. She is on the road about 10 months a year. So she can do all the running/contact/follow up and I can plan from home. Just might work!

Robyn - I hope you come up with something - and then spread the word!

Event planning is tough, and I can empathize with your cousin who travels all the time doing it. I do it for the law firm I work for (and also contract out some of our larger events), and I don't know how people can keep their wits and energy about them to do it full-time!

I've had people tell me I should be a wedding planner, or plan some of the outlandish bar mitzvahs that go on here! I'm sure a lot of $$ could be made, but I don't know if I could take the brides from heck, and those mommies!!! :teeth:

Ohh, I haven't seen it mention but add a poncho or rain jacket to your list.

I suggested 2008 since so many already have 2007 plans. I figure 2008 is far enough out that people can start saving for and they can't say they already have something planned! We don't have anyone in charge of it yet though.

I would love to do this (if I could convince DH that it is a good idea to go with "complete strangers" from the internet)! Our 2007 vacation plans are pretty much spoken for, but 2008 is wide open (unless my mom gets her way, and I'm pregnant!).

I'd love to do the DL meet, too, but will have to wait to see the dates. Unless I switch jobs by then, Sept. can be just as busy as my summers.
