Thanks Robyn.

Getting John to wear the pirate: outfit wouldn't be a problem, but the make-up now thats another story.

I'm laughing right now, because Alan would be so into it! He was an actor in college and still has his makeup kit. On Halloween he goes all out with makeup and costume. Last March he took Katie to a Daddy/Daughter Pirate Party at our Church, and he went to town with the makeup. Katie thought it was so cool!

Hmmm, maybe I can get him the costume as a surprise. He is a true pirate at heart. Did I ever tell you we got engaged while doing the show "Peter Pan" together? What was his part, you ask? Captain Hook, of course!

Chanon -

will you pm me her full name and email?

I haven't forgotten the address - just forgot to send it!! :teeth:

I can't believe I didn't think about this before!!!!

The hospital where Amy delivered has a web nursery!!!!!!!

I just went and sure enough - there were pictures of Matthew

now normally - I would not post someone else's baby photos - but it has been FOUR days!! and if they can't find their camera cord - it could be a while

so here are the pictures of baby Matthew - who I think looks a lot like his beautiful big sister!!

Oh my gosh! He is absolutely adorable! Thanks for posting these, Kate! He is definitely Alyssa's little brother!

Hey gang. Headed out the door to go to a local carnival. The 4 of us, Eric's mom and grandmom, nephew and then about 15 of my mom's family. It is at the firehouse where my mom's dad volunteered when she was young. It is a great time and we always have lots of fun.

Oh my, Matthew is too cute for words!! Thanks for posting that Kate!

Marci, Here is some :wizard: for your kitty and  for you.

Kristine, Here's some :wizard: for Bill, I am sure he will be able to get it under control.

Vicki, Here's some :wizard: for Becky that her tooth won't bother her while at camp.

That's all I have time for now. Will try to check in before bed!

just coming to say hi while i have a minute. I am trying to get some homework done (we need 10 sources for a 5 page paper--ugh!)
So my goal for today is to find all 10 sources that i want to use..Luckily, i have the house to myself and should be able to start and get it done pretty quickly.

Other than that, i have no big plans for the rest of the week, but i am going to a big DISmeet in Allentown PA this weekend, so that should be fun! Im going with another DISer (kimwim8) and were planning on spending the night and going to dorney park sunday--should be a fun weekend!

Dont have much of a Alex update tonight, but this is what i have so far..My dad was at the hospital today and alex talked to him!! Actual words! He said "one day at a time"...He seems to be doing good and the trach will hopefully be removed this week sometime--we just got an email that we can start buying the shirts, so i cant wait to see how they look!

hopefully ill be back later to chat, but gotta get this homework done first, so yell at me if you see me!

Okay guys -- I need some PD and prayers, please. Jessie, our adopted cat of almost a year, is hurt. She may have been sleeping on top of the garage door when it was up this morning and got caught in it when I put it down. Needless to say, I am a nervous wreck and am feeling like a horrible parent. I found her when I got back from an errand, over in the grass crying and panting. I took her to our vet, who was at lunch, but the assistant took her and made her comfortable. They will have to sedate her, do x-rays to see what is broken and if there is internal bleeding and decide what to do. I am almost hysterical with guilt and I dread the call from the vet. I'm praying all that is broken is her leg. I'm also sick to my stomach since I'll have to tell the boys when I pick them up from school in an hour.

Please send any extra good thoughts Jessie's way. I'd be grateful. :sad2:

Thank you all for the good vibes!:goodvibes We are back from the specialist...the short version:

They would like is sugar level to be 100...120 on a bad day, his is 250!!!

He begins daily medication today (oral) has to monitor daily via the finger stab system..or I should say, I have to monitor it...since this is the way it seems to be going.

Besides excessive thirst, he has no other symptoms...

Diet, exercise, medicine, monitor & we go back in 3 weeks....

Kristine
:grouphug: for Bill. The diet will get easier for him. If he's like me the really tough thing is getting in the exercise!

***?!?!!?!?

How is it any of her damn business if you work or not?!?!?

I was thinking the same thing! Paula, you do what is best for you and your family! I never think any kind of training is a waste of time. There is always some useful purpose (even if it is the experience of just taking a test). You do great!!!
