I only have a few minutes before I have to get the girls ready and out the door. Ellie has been crying when I leave her at school, so I am trying to get to her school a bit early.

TIA? Your moving? I will try to read the last 35+ pgs, but WOW.

Give me the 5 W's on this.

WHO - ME! And Phil and Terra
WHAT - Moving to St. Louis (home of my mommy, daddy, 3 sisters, 2 BIL, 1 niece, 1 nephew and 1 niece or nephew to come)
WHEN - Approx Aug 16 for me and Terra, end of August for Phil
WHERE - Living with my parents for awhile to help out my mom for awhile and will take care of my sister's kids as well
WHY - I miss my mommy! Even more I miss being the stay-at-home kind of mommy! When work took away my half day's working at home that was kind of the end of if for me here. It just hasn't worked out to be best for Terra and I think she (and I) will really benfit from living close to cousins so close in age (2 and 4, plus baby).

Are you & Terra still going to WDW in September?

I think our trip is still on. Unfortunately the whole payment thing comes right in the middle of the move, but I should be fine. The only thing that would change it is if our Feb trip has to be postponed due to my sister's new job. If that's the case, then I might move the Oct trip to Dec this year (yes Kristin, I did say Dec!!) so that I am gone after my sister is on maternity leave and may bring my niece as well.

They were planning on moving to be closer to her family this fall but the time table got moved up because:

a. her job is stressful
b. her mom needs her help
c. her family doesn't like their daycare and by having Tia provide it she can stay home and the kids won't be so bored!!

Phil is going to stay back a couple of weeks to soak in as much quiet time as he can and then he will join them and find a job in the area. They will start out living with mom to save money and just help and then move on their own!!

Morning DDA--
You would not believe how sunburned i am this morning..so much for not burning! I am off to work, but may not be going to class tonight--Im allowed two skips, so i may just use this one and just use one for the next few weeks..i was up about 4 times last night, due to not getting comfortable with this darn sunburn..Ill see how tired iam as the day goes on, but i may be here earlier than i thought!

Thanks, Chanon! I would never, never, never book a flight with such a short connection. I will take a look at flights a little later and see what I can do. I've been looking at maps of the Charlotte airport on-line, but I can't really get a feel for the size. Anyone know what CLT is like for making a USAir connection? As for seating, it doesn't show our seat numbers any more probably because of the change in planes/flights. I am hoping that we have at least two together so that Miles doesn't have to be on his own. Could I get any of that information by calling the airline? I was so happy to have made non-stop flights, but the best laid plans...

It's been awhile since I flew through Charlotte, but I don't remember it being too bad for the connections. Your seats aren't showing anymore because of the change, you're right. Does it give you the option to choose new seats? I know I've had that happen on other airlines. If it doesn't, then call the airline and ask them to assign your seats if there are 2 or more together. If not, then I'd ask again at checkin and then at the gate until you get them.

The entire Brooks household including 2 dogs and 1 cat (what am I thinking?)
will be on a camping trip from Friday,July 14th until Sunday, July 30th. I will not have internet access and will not be able to read, post or PM for 16 days. Consider this my official notification. I wouldn't want the DDA vanishing persons patrol to have to hunt me down

Thankfully my brother lives next door so he will be taking care of the plants, lawn, house etc.

That reminds me! I was at Target yesterday and they had bunch of Hawaiin party items on clearance. Paper tablecovers, plates, napkins, cups, some decorations, etc. Don't know if you need more for your site decor or party in August.

Have a wonderful time!!! I would so love to camp for an extended vacation like that!

Tia, what are your planned dates for February?

It will be one of the first two weeks. I think we are leaning towards the 10th-17th so that we are in the middle of the February girls' birthdays, but it could push back to 3rd-10th. That's all if it gets to stay in 2007 at all. Since my sister just started her new job she won't have paid maternity leave when the baby comes. She's going to try to keep one of her vacation weeks open to still do the trip, but had to see after she actually started the job.

Thanks! I checked flight times, and I think that I will stay with these flights. The connection is longer than I remembered on the way down (47 minutes). I'm not so worried about getting home. I don't see anything about choosing new seats. I guess I will call the airline (I hate calling people...just one of my little eccentricities!).

How did Ellie do today? Emma went through this near the end of her 3yr preschool year but the teacher and I thought it had to do with Molly being born and her not wanting to miss out on something at home. From day 1 Emma walked in to the class and wanted to know when I was leaving. Any ideas as to what is causing it?
