I would be the corrupted Pal Mickey woman in question!!! :rotfl2: My DH first sort of rolled his eyes, but now even he has attire ideas for Pal Mickey. I told him that first Mickey needed a name! See, the obsession grows!!

Thanks, you all, for having such a great board and thread! It's terrific!

Do you do any designing? I can send you the file for his "license". If you don't have the software to design, send me a pm with your address and his name and I'll modify the license for you if you are interested. Here's a copy of the license that the travelin' Pals carry.

How funny! We sell soft serve ice cream where I work. A couple of years ago one of the employees was eating a cone & the next thing she was passed out on the floor  When she woke she did not know what happened. We talked her into going to the ER & the Dr. said that she actually had experienced a brain freeze! She now puts her ice cream in a cup & lets it melt before eating :teeth: Dh drank a slurpee to quick once & said he felt like he was having a heart attack. He drinks these very slowly now :thumbsup2

Ever since I was a little girl I have let my ice cream almost completely melt and then start eating it. I always get brain freeze when I eat cold things! And I cannot bite into a popsicle or watch anyone else do it! It makes me ill.

I have one other friend after me. Then it's up to some of you other DDA ladies because I'm pretty sure all my other friends are done.

July 3rd is a great day for a birthday!

I bet Dr. Phil would have a field day with that!!! Of course, he'd probably think I was way off, since I have been looking for designs on this board for Mickey's T-shirts. . .just so they could coordinate with ours each day on our trip! Sad, but true!! :rotfl2:
Yep, she has definitely joined the Pal Mickey obsession!!! That is where mine started as well. I first started searching for where I could buy tees for Pal Mickey so that he could match us on our last trip so that he could stand out from all his cousins. Unfortunately, I couldn't find them before the trip so I've been making up for it since we've been home!

I'm sure that I will be taking you up on it!!!! I'm still trying to wrap my head around the news that I am actually going to be in WDW in January!!!!

Here's an early question: what is the weather usually like there in early January? What will I need to pack? Is it warm enough for capris? Do I need heavy sweaters, jackets, etc?
I can do better than that Glynis - I can take you on a personalized tour of WDW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish that I could volunteer, but I don't think my husband would go along with it. :sad2:

Paula, Those are awesome. I do understand the whole wanting to enjoy what you are doing. I have been watching friends/family kids for 6 years now. It has become such a grind. Don't get me wrong, I love the kids, it's dealing with the parents that makes me crazy! And these are people I know. So I started selling Tastefully Simple and while I love the product there is a lot of work involved and it is hard to keep up with a bunch of noisy kids running around my house. So the kids it is but unfortunately its more of a way for us to make ends meet but also getting to stay at home too. Although if I could stay at home with just my girls it would be much easier.
I guess what I am trying to say is I am in a similar boat and wish I had some answers for you. I am sure it will work out.
Robyn-

I sold Pampered Chef when we first got married and I loved doing it but I hated getting parties and doing all the follow up that came with it!!

I wish I could find a way to make extra money at home!!

I have to share this with all of you. I'm such a proud mom today!

Christopher had his final regular swim meet of the season this morning. He has been hoping to be picked for the relay team for weeks. He's a good swimmer for his age, but about a month ago he started coming up for breaths about every other stroke and it was slowing him down a bit. We've been working on it and I just told him to do his best at practice and maybe he would be picked.

When we got there this morning he was only signed up for the individual freestlye and not the relay. I was disappointed for him, but I didn't say anything. In a few minutes one of the Jr. Coaches had him by the hand and said mom he's going to do the relay.

When it was his turn to swim he flew to the other side of the pool! We were all standing there with our jaws on the floor. I've never seen him swim that fast and he didn't do the breaths every other stroke. His relay team took second place behind the other relay team from our club :cheer2:

When it was time for his individual freestyle he again flew down the pool and won a blue ribbon!!!!!!! He was swimming against good swimmers so I was really proud of him. It was a close race!

After the meet he went to his coach and thanked her for letting him be on the relay team. She told him she didn't "let" him, that he had improved so much that he earned a spot on the team! He was so proud and I was so proud for him!! She doesn't know how much she boosted his self esteem and confidence by saying that!

On a side note, and pretty funny: Christopher has blue (1st), red (2nd) and yellow (4th) ribbons. There are 3 other color ribbons that he doesn't have, and he wants one of every color. The lady handing out the ribbons for the relay thought his team took 3rd so she handed him a white ribbon. When she realized her mistake and gave him a red ribbon, he didn't want to trade :rotfl: . Isn't it great that at that age it's still not all about winning?

Woohoo Christopher!!!! :cool1:

Glad to hear your BP was down. Hopefully the Advil and Aleve will do its trick.

I had a scare in Feb, as I didn't have it from mid Jan. to mid March. I got really sick the end of January so I think that is what cause the missed cycle. But I was excited when I thought it could be a possibility but then relieved when it wasn't. I am not convinced I want to go through the whole baby stage again. But I really want 3, and Eric's grandmother and my Aunt are sure I am not done having kids yet!
