I'm looking forward to this sequel.
And to the PP who asked if the Skeksi/U-ru hybrid was the ruling council, I don't think that was ever specifically stated in the movie itself. At the end, they show the Skeksis and the U-ru joining to form one creature, I always thought that they went back into outerspace or wherever to become like I dunno..gods or something. JMHO, YMMV.
