The Daily Grind ~ 9/19/12

On this special day, four years ago, I lost the love of my life, Roger. He was "my best guy," a loving father and grandfather, a loyal friend and an extraordinary teacher for over 30 years. His smile was endearing and his heart was "10 sizes too big!!! "

So many of you were with me in body and spirit at that time. I kept a printed memory page of all the heartfelt messages you sent. Thank for for your sustaining friendships, which are still greatly appreciated.

Hug those you love today, as all of us know how precious and fleeting life can be. This is the most difficult week of the year, as on the 13th we celebrated the first year without my mom, and now today, Roger. Caroline

and it wont let me copy and paste but its on my page. A letter from heaven it's a shortened version of a poem the priest read at Nana's furneral called If Tomorrow starts without me.

I hope everyone is okay after the horrible storms that rolled acrossed the east coast last night.. the Today Show is reporting it was really bad last night...


Today so much to do and I'm still a bit exhausted from yesterday but it must be done:

DH up and out the door
make bed
make lunches x 3
DS16 up for mtg (he is slow to start today after soccer for the past 2 nights and meetings the past 2 mornings, who knows what tonight after school brings, could be a pre-homecoming activity)
get myself ready for day
load of towels
DS11 up and ready for school
DS16 to school for mtg
home to once over house (DH picked up for me last night to help out)
DS11 to school
town for small list of stops (MUST use coupons at JoAnn's thank you for the small boat load of 50% off coupons)
home for small nap, I can hope paid bills instead
template Senior bag
scrapbook 6 pages (MUST)
touch base w/ PJ today (she has a mtg for her new job on campus!!! So proud of her)
pick up DS11 from school
homework/snack
template sectional gift bag for soccer team
pick up DS16 from soccer/check on other possible events
dinner
sent out email requests w/ DS16 re: campus visits over fall break


So much to do and so little time..but if I get this done tomorrow, I can have a free day on Thursday to scrap the day away and enjoy the day without errands..

Nan - 44 degrees????? And today with the heat index it will be a sweltering 99 down here. It was 37 this morning at my friends town in Canada. I'm gonna be able to wear jeans, sweaters and socks in a couple of weeks! And a jacket,haha!

Pack a hat, gloves, and scarf for safety sake!!! When Grams comes up from N. Ft. Myers, I always deck her out with a new set of the above.. .She just laughs....

I did find an awesome new set of the above today... I think I'm going to run back out and get them this weekend..but I was on a mission today for needed supplies so I did not deviate from my list...

is turning 1!! not sure if he knows or cares at this point also not sure where the year went

but other than that it is a normal day:

DD#1 up and out
need to wake up DD#2 and DD#3 and get them moving
DD#2 on bus
take DD#3 to school
DS to try mom and me dance class
pick up DD#3
home
lunch
hopefully a nap!- DS had a bad case of the crankies yesterday and wasnt very helpful in getting things done
finish things from yesterday

so today went to He** in a hand basket.......

Eric home sick stomach ache (most of it is self made with the fighting over homework call in to teacher this pm)
Levi off to school for me to get a call from the nurse. He and another collided in gym and he's bleeding from the top of his head. He made it through part of the day. I ran and got him at 11:30.

did get to walmart cause he wanted to "coffee" mugs

call into the spec ed head here we go again........ hopefully since I've never called her (her son is in Levi's class so I know her) with and issue it will kick start the issue.

off to get a drink going to be a LONG night

Thanks Ladies! He says Thank you! He is being spoiled today for sure. Cake pop at starbucks, donuts from his fave donut place, dance class! Which he loved by the way and kept up with the older kids...now to find shoes

Why is it when I say I'm sick and need to leave early that it never happens? An hour later my boss comes out and asks if I want to plan on leaving early. Um? Yes, that's why I SAID IT AN HOUR AGO. Sigh.

Did leave all of 40 minutes early, but I also got there a half hour early. 10 minutes. I'm going to bed.

TOOT TOOT!!! Brag alert!

DS16 ran the home course today in a race against our biggest rivals and he PR'ed (personal record) on this course!! His time was 19:31, 5 minutes faster than his time last year! WOOHOO!!!

Tomorrow is DS11 and DS10's meet. Hopefully they will do well too.
