Taking the idea from the Creative Community forum, I thought it would be nice to have a place to discuss what you are up to and, in turn, get to know one another.

Any special plans today?

My son and I will be going to the Reds vs. Cubs game tonight GO REDS! for our cousins 16th Birthday! Lows in the mid 50's tonight so it's going to be a great night!

Off to the Cincinnati Zoo tomorrow and starting my first FULL TIME teaching position on Monday! :cool1:

This is a great idea Nikki!

I am starting to make 100 commemorative favors to give to 100 of my dog's closest friends (LOL! She's popular) when she wins her fourth agility championship. They are little sour cream type containers with twp personalized tags on them that will hold homemade dog cookies for her four legged friends and Hershey's kisses for the two legged ones (I'll make special ones for the judge and trial secretary as well). Hopefully, we'll need them on the Labor Day weekend. It's so beautiful here in SW Ohio, I'm planning to do a lot of this outside. I'll add a pic when I have one done.

Also, trying a new recipe today: Maple and Bourbon Beer Glazed Salmon!

Tae Kwan Do, grocery shopping, 8 loads of laundry and what little house cleaning I feel like doing.

Why does my weekend feel like more work than my week????

Not a lot going on today since its kind of a rainy/drizzly day. However we do need to get the house cleaned up a bit since we're going to have house guests starting Wednesday.

After that we get to pack for our next trip to WDW!!! :dance3:

I was going to say 'good morning', but it seems it turned into afternoon already... So, good afternoon, all! :goodvibes I'm drinking coffee and listening to Disney in-park music on Live365 right now, just poking around the internet. My boyfriend is working at the moment, but later today we plan to go pick up moving boxes (we're moving in 2 weeks, yay!), then maybe to our storage facility to organize things... followed by dinner at Chevy's (Mexican) with the bf's cousin and said-cousin's girlfriend. AND I'm hoping to get a chance to watch JAWS tonight, since I got the blu-ray 2 days ago and have been so anxious to see it in that format.

Cute thread idea, Nikki! :thumbsup2

What a cute idea! I used to purchase dog cookies from a specialty bakery nearby. They were always so cute!

I just got back from running over to Staples for their Teacher Appreciation Day. It wasn't as good as past years', but I am grateful that they had one. Did anyone see the CBS special, Teachers Rock, last night? I thought it was really cool.

On the way back, I stopped at an antique store. Lots of Disney things, but nothing I was jumping to buy. I'm hoping for a neat find one day.

Went to the Saints game last night and drove back home after (3.5 hours), so we slept in!! :) woke up then I went and got The Hunger Games & everything to make turkey chili for supper! YUMMM! Just got finished watching our movie & now being lazy watching shark week! Lol! Wish that chili could cook itself! :) hehe

We checked into BWV yesterday and just got back from AK where it rained most of the day - then when it finally stopped we went on Kali River Rapids ....well, you can probably imagine how that turned out. Tonight, my wife and kids are taking me out for my birthday at Via Napoli -should be a great night!

Spent the morning watching cartoons and keeping my toddler from major injury as he jumps on every piece of furniture and me

After lunch put him down for a nap and I was good and spent some time on the eliptical. Now just waiting for him to wake up so we can go pick up a copy of the Hunger Games I rented from red box (never made it to the theater to see it since movie tickets + sitter = way too much money), get a burrito from Moe's and maybe take him to a park for a little bit to burn off some energy!

I'm very jealous of your dinner plans! Love the pizza and sangria at Via Napoli. I think we've eaten there on each of our last 4 or 5 trips - very rare for us! Happy Birthday!

My husband is performing with his wind ensemble in Washington Square Park.

What instrument does he play?

I did yard work, taught DD to use a DSLR (which will become hers when I get my D800) and are meeting DSIL for dinner downtown now that he is finished being in local movie. He plays a whiskey drinking card player in a period piece.

.

Trombone.

....and apparently for dinner we are checking out a new restaurant in our 'hood called Sugar and Plumm... they serve all kinds of things, including chicken and waffles and a waffle/bacon milkshake.

Enjoy every minute of it!

Just home from work and am officially on vacation!!! :yay: Headed out with the whole family to Salt Fork State Park in the "wilds" of Ohio in the morning. We don't camp or anything, we stay in the lodge and think about maybe taking a nature hike if we can drag the kids out of the pool.

Mostly we wind up enjoying the nature from our patios...luckily the deer come right up to us since we are well supplied with snacks. popcorn:: It's not WDW, but I can't wait...planning the games right now and headed out for dinner in a little while.

I was watching NC Beast mow the backyard with the push mower (self-propelling cable broke so its even harder). We did hired a neighbor kid to do it, but he got grounded (loss of riding mower privilage) and he hurt himself at his sport activity.

So, I came in to realize that it has been 1 year ago today that we were on our 5 night WDW trip. 1 year since our dinner at Le Cellier and the day that we got hooked on truffle salt.

Worked this morning and now making sugar free Peach and Plum Jam. The only problem is we are only 1/2 way through our canning for the year. Lots of tomatoes to go.

Yay canning!

Bike ride this morning with an ice cream break in the middle :). Making brownies now, planning on grilling steak and roasting potatoes from our garden for dinner.

Planned to fill the hot tub with cool water today-but the banana slug and two frogs we found inside turned me off the plan a bit.

Making plum ketchup to can later :).
