Morning...

Woke up to crazy news on the TV.... then to find out it's the hometown of one of our scrappers/swappers is even more shocking...

So, first try to reach hopemax via PM...then will try to reach her by other means at a more decent hour.... thoughts and prayers to all those affected by the mass shooting..

Today:
DH up and out the door
DS and DD up and off to work
DS11 up and ready to go
out to check on Thumper
errands
lunch
DD home from work/verify plans for roommate meet up in a week or so
back to check on Thumper
home to work on 2 scrapbook pages
DS16 home from work
back to check on Thumper
once over house
sort for tomorrow
make list of things to be done at pick up tomorrow for the end of fair week
balance ckbk
watch weather and do a rain dance...


Well, we saw about 1 min of sprinkles yesterday... that was it... my DS16 was at a controlled scrimmage and they got nailed with a bad storm.... he said it was nice to see rain but it came on so quick it was a little unsettling.

Ok, better get today started.. lots to do over the next few days...

Good Morning!

Prayers for all affected by the sad news.

Hope everyone is doing well!

Woke up to thunderstorms early and it is still drizzly out so I think today is a shopping day. Hopefully it will clear up later, but I can't complain about the rain as the area is in desperate need of it!

Everyone is still sleeping here so I am enjoying the peace and quiet for now!

Prayers for all those involved and knowing anyone in the tragedy this morning/last night.

Nancy- please let us know when you reach Hope- I think having one person on point will be easier.

I have had a crazy week in Orlando at my convention but had lots of fun.

Today:
finish laundry
get things ready for parents arrival
work on menu for next week
make shopping list for tomorrow
pork roast for dinner
work on paperwork for next week

Unfortunatley now 1 of my cousins will go off the deep end on the whole gun issue and start in on us for having them.

working a night opening so headed in just before 11 going to be a long day 400 pieces of chicken for Tom and I to cook.

laundry last load in the dryer now
load charcoal into my truck
set up tents and drop boys to mom (with Eric's stuff for the pool
grab the cooker from the barn
head for work
work till 7 Tom will be in and out due to haying
me home to crash with a drink I'm half way to the first mini goal should be further than I am but haven't had time for the wii just walking plus it was to darn hot!!!!!
if energy wii for a bit
figure out if boys are staying at moms or coming home.
gather items for hayfield day tomorrow into pile on porch.

Nan--unless Hope has moved, she lives in Arvada (which is NW of Denver) not in Aurora (which is E of Denver). Hope is about 30 minutes N of me and I'm 45 mins W of the theater where the shooting occured. Very sad news to wake up to

I dont watch the news p&pd to those who need.

I am up way to early, thunderstorms again! And now its pouring! Not looking forward to moving in the rain.

Coffee!! Didn't get back here till after 12. Bed closer to 1. It's so worth it though! Kitchen is looking way better.

Gotta get Dbf up and to Lowes. We are 95% done with the counters. But we need just a smidget more to cover the blue. He is going in late this morning so we will be heading over there shortly without kids to finish up.

Dbf off to work,
Quick clean up of mess in kitchen.

Dinner in crockpot
Call adt to schedule install
Call trash to switch over
Call electric
Put in mail forward
Load car, with stuff and kids-will repeat this several times today I am sure
Work on packing up kitchen

Good luck to everyone with their chore lists and fun activities they have planned.

I need to finish up cleaning and lunch (we are having family over for lunch that are driving through our area and stopping by for a quick visit).

I am a golf and soccer widow this weekend (as is my neighbor), so we both hope to get some scrapping done. I also have DD2's softball tournament though. Two games on Saturday, then we play til we lose on Sunday.

got the Tom-tom programed - that was fun, it is amazing how many I-10 streets are listed - gave up looked on internet map - it gave long/lat so I programed that into the Tom-tom & that works
got window alarmed fixed in boys room so if James tries to sneak out the window that will go off
bags are packed & in car

Yep, I am here and safe. We've actually never even been to Aurora, although we've been to just about all the rest of the Denver suburbs. Can't believe that Denver has to deal with another mass shooting.

Sending my prayers to the families in Colorado. I have family in Aurora - thank goodness they are okay! Such a terrible, terrible thing to happen.

Hope everyone is having a ghood Friday and has an even better weekend! This time next week, we'll be packed and ready to head to Disney World for a week - woohoo!

Rachal: is that the Rustoleum stuff??? I want to use that on my counters.... even though it needs a full remodel that is down the road...

also, how deep are the drawer units on either size of the lazy susan in the bottom corner??? I need drawers!!!! I do have pull out shelves in my bottom cabinets and I dearly love them...

Nan, Yup. That stuff is awesome. Messy but awesome. We have decorative chips every where. It's driving me nuts! We are going to sand and seal it tonight. Then it should be ready to go Sun/mon. I did the downstairs bathrooms today with the left over but the humidty isn't making it easy. It's way cheaper than new ones and looks just as good.

I am going to paint the cabinets too. Just not this weekend.

Thanks Rachal... I'm going to put this higher on the list just to give it a up-do for a temporary fix because it will be a while!!

We hit 75 today... it is so nice... we haven't seen temps like this in over 30+ days.... overcast which makes you sleepy but so nice compared to what we have had!
