I've got dinner started.... FIL, and my parents are on their way over... they are trying to investigate this water issue in our basement... think the fix will be easier than thought but all 3 men are putting their heads together on this...

Kids have gotten their baskets and are talling up who got what (they still don't understand that mommy evens everything out.....Dad and I get the extras)...

Well, FIL just arrived and brought the family donuts in!!

Vent for the day:
homwtown BFF's ex is a complete tool. He had no easter baskets for the girls this morning. The girls worked it out in their heads that the easter bunny left baskets in Montana for them.
His excuse: K is to old to believe in the Easter bunny. WTH?!?!? So what!!!! And that doesn't mean he doesn't bring one to H.
frickin' tool !!!

Now BFF's new hubby is scrabbling to hit Walmart before they come home tomorrow. I really hope some day he or my DH are asked to walk the girls down the aisle and not their father, or who I like to call the donor.

Buffy, thats so sad. Pretty much the same thing happened to my girls yesterday. but they did get stuff, just a poor effort in it. Their "baskets" we some decorative baskets that ex-H's roommate has by her fire place and all they got was some candy. Girls were disappointed to say the least.

Oh and BTW for those that dont know how it works: you put baskets by the fire place and the easter bunny flies in the window and back up the chimney. yup thats what he told them.

Easter dinner will be around 6 pm.

Girls got La La Loopsie dolls, but only because his sister bought them. If he'd either bother to know his own girls he would know they don't play with dolls anymore.

Schmuck offered to give BFF money to go get them easter stuff when they got home. So not the point!!!

Wow what a real winner. She needs to write him a letter and inform him and then just hope that it gets through. Since Ex-H lives in the same area its a little easier. because they go there, get his half effort whatevers and then come home to a great holiday.

Its just sad that the kids have to go through that. but they learn and sometimes in the case of DD#2 will let their voice be heard about it.
