~The Daily Grind~ 3/13/10

It's the weekend...Day 1! It's REALLY raining! Like a MONSOON!! It's probably a good thing we have a boat in the driveway And it's sooo windy!! Why am I smiling? Because it isn't sky dandruff!!!!

I'm going to see Death of a Salesman at the UofD theater, and my 2 wonderful sons will be my dates! Then we are going out to dinner together DS21 read the play (English major, he read it because he wanted to, not for a class ) and he is so excited to see it performed on a stage. DS18 used the stage for the Shakespeare Festival a few weeks ago, and it sparked his interest for seeing the play. I love going to the theater!

My list for today:

Caffeinate- this repeats everyday!!

Keep to my points! Maybe not, depends on where we eat dinner tonight... All proteins and veggies from the buffet would work though...

Debbie, enjoy the play!!! My DS loves that play. He's read it, but hasn't seen it yet. He would love to be going with you guys.

DH and DS will be at the school for finishing up the set build and then an all day tech rehearsal for the spring musical. Opening night is next Thursday!!! While they are gone, I'm planning to scrap.

Tired, tired, tired! Slept horribly. I've got some cleaning and errands to do this morning. Morgan has dance at 1:00. No other plans!

Supposed to get a lot of rain today, possibly 6 inches! Thank goodness it's not snow.

That sounds like the BEST idea for a weekend EVER! I love going to the theater too. For years, we subscribed at Proctors - 6 shows a season - until one dark and stormy night we totally blew off going to see Blackstone in favor of staying home in our comfy chairs and slippers.

Tired, tired, tired! Slept horribly.

SO sorry. I suppose you do the whole "preparing for sleep" routine, just like I do, and still wake up. It is just such a nuisance to be so tired and unable to stay asleep and I can SO sympathize.

Today I will

Unclog the bathroom drain - done
do a load of clothes
unpack my crop bag from last night and might as well repack it for the Cape, while I'm at it. Except the staging area will be full of ski crap for dh's trip next weekend.
clean the bathrooms
make page kits
make dinner
nap.

Nap is taking president. I've finished my yougart jaw actually hurts from sinus being clogged up. I'm now curled up on the couch with the old dog and he and I are going to sleep (he already is). see you all in a few hours hopefully.

Jennifer sorry you slept so badly hope you get to take a nap too.

I won't get a nap today, but hopefully will get to put myself to bed early tonight.

DH has gone to get his hair cut, I just ordered 250 pix for my cropping weekend. Need to do a little cleaning and picking up. The patches I ordered on Thursday just showed up. I should get those ready to pass out on Tuesday.

Crazy day here.
Dh went to change the filter on the water filter and it just exploded!!
What a complete mess downstairs with all my scrappy stuff.
bubba and I went to swim while he fixed that whole mess. Then we went go have hus pics taken. They came out awesome!! Then off to lowes to look at rugs and window treatments for my new living room. Ugh. Dh and I are in a disagreement about that. We did get a rug. But the windows .......

off to chill for a bit and think it over.

The play was great. The acting was so good, I had tears in my eyes when it was over!

We then went to the buffet. I ate lots of veggies, just a bit of fried (just a bit more than a taste, but not the plate full I used to eat) shrimp, some beef, sushi...

Holly I'm a non swapper (intimitadted by the whole thing and my ability) but I think they look wonderful. My scrapbooks are a glorified photo album and nothing more. I'm very plain jane when it comes to scrapping. Some of my friends agonize for days over pages nope not me for the most part its lay it out move it around and stick it down.

So to my untrained eye you did great.

I just totally stress over it. I don't know why I do it to myself, but I just want my stuff to be ok. I would never want anyone to get my stuff back in a swap and chuck it aside and say....really? that's what she made?
I guess I should just say.....I did my best and that's what counts.
