It's The Weekend...Day 2 WOOT!!!

More Cooking today... pot luck stuff. DH is making his sausage w/peppers and onions, his totally awesome sweet tatoes, and I'm making my cole slaw. I'm also making the WW choc/punkin muffins for me for snacking this week.

The pot luck is with DH's hunting buddies. Quite the group. 2 of the wives have been friends for like 30yrs. I've never been totally comfortable with the wives, so I kind of hang in the kitchen with the guys, who are way fun. The people who are having it this year (we had it the last 2 years) the wife is a chain smoker, and with my asthma I try to avoid being around her. So this will be quite the diet challenge, hanging in the kitchen with the food...

My List for today:

Caffeinate- This repeats everyday!!

DH and I are going to go to an early movie and then lunch. We're going to see Valentine's Day and I'm not sure where we'll go to lunch. Maybe Famous Dave's since I have a coupon! DS will be at Lowe's selling hamburgers and hotdogs most of the day. They are doing a fundraiser for State competitions. DH usually goes and helps with this, but I didn't see him hardly at all yesterday since he was helping build the set for the play and then he's going to his office this afternoon and will be out of town all week. So, I whined and said he needed to spend some time with me this morning!!!

I'm tired. Barely slept last night. I'm always wired after a crop. Last night was worse than usual. I see a nap in my future.

No plans for the day. I should do the cleaning I didn't do yesterday, but I don't wanna. I have to do some laundry, Morgan goes back to school tomorrow and needs jeans for Monday and Tuesday, but DH has clothes in the dryer. I can't win.

Have fun at the movies, Stephanie. I'd like to see that, but I know DH isn't interested.

Morning everyone.

I'm not sure of my plans for the day. Bubba and dh are playing Indy jones wii and laughing so hard. I'm just enjoying listening to them!!
I'd love to work on my swap pieces but really should do some laundry. It's back to school for us too. I need my routine back. I really got used to staying home last week so this week will be so hard. What's the next holiday that I get a day out of work??????

Deb- have fun today! Drink lots of water. Listen to me will ya??!! I hate water.

Stephanie- have a fun time with dh. Love the date time.

Sounds like a fun day for most of us -

Last day of Feb vacation week. It has been nice goofing off for the past week - not having to pack lunches, etc.! DH did a LOT of laundry yesterday, so that pressure is off here. Gonna putter around cleaning up a bit, get the meats Z2H and I bought last night cut/divided up, vacuum sealed, and into the freezer (a month's worth of dinners out of one shopping trip - yea!), walk the dog, finish up my sketch swap (?), watch the Olympics, and make sure the kids are organized to head back in the morning. Z2H will help with dinner - trying out a new breaded pork chop recipe. Think it will be yummy!

I was watching a utube video This morning and she used a paper piercing tool to make her brads even on the page. Anyone have one? Where do I get one?

Do you have the (old) Making Memories tool box? There was one in there.

I vacced and have started the towels, and sorted all the other laundry. The couch is calling my name (and so is my cuddly kitty).

The paper piercing template shown here can be bought from any Stampin' Up! demonstrator. It comes in the Mat pack fro $9.95 plus shipping and taxes. The mat pack also includes the foam mat used underneath the cardstock and a cutting mat in that size.

I have that. I don't think it came with the piercing tool though.

I broke the tip off the one that comes in MM tool box. I bought replacement ones at JoAnns. They are silver/grey. That the sharp point on one end and a loopy looking thing on the other end under a clear cap. I think the loopy thing is to help guide the fiber/ribbon/thread through the holes/eyelets.

I also have the Fiskars 3 piece Eyelet setter set.

Mine is yellow/pink/orange not purples. Did you want it? It's one of those tools I got on clearance and never used. It is still unopened.

You can use your ruler to line up the holes.

Sunday....

DD is about to be grounded. Nobody warned me about the 10 year old attitude. What is with the talking back!?

At noon we have to head to the Fairgrounds for Small Animal Expo Day. YIPPEE. DD is taking a skills test in rabbit showmanship. Won't be very interesting. Can you tell I am not looking forward to it!?

Well, power pole did not get set yesterday. Cricut ticked me off - It was a hard afternoon!! But a good dinner with friends is an excellent antidote. DH found his own way to weld words on the cricut!He and his cousin were so funny figuring out the stoopid firmware update issue - they ended up cutting all the titles for cousins DD presentation visual aid boards.

I think they want to rewrite the CDS software!!

OK going to go start some laundry and hope to get my remaining swap groups done. I really want my DH to take the girls away today so I can sit and stare at the wall. Wish he was a DIS'er so he could read this!!
