The Daily Grind ~ 2/2/12

just got home from the dr clinic....started having major pain in my ears this afternoon....have an ear and sinus infection! got antibiotics and some of the good cough med for at night so hopefully I can sleep!

i have officially done nothing fun today.

spent all day cleaning the kitchen, scrubbing everything. fridge cleaned out, organized, wiped down, oven pulled apart and cleaned. found the breakfast bar and under it. Dining room cleaned, DD's coupons cleaned up. Found the bench.

But I just feel like I am moving piles from place to place. Need to figure out how to get these people on board with cleaning things up and putting them away.

Well off to run dd's fundraising money to dance studio, then back to meet up with hair lady!!

Will do. Shoes here too. left on the stairs constantly. They manage to go down and get another pair to leave on the stairs but cant seem to take the pair to the basket. I dont understand it. Our entry isnt the best. you have to go up stairs to hang things up in the closet so they leave things as they go up.

I'm hoping to do something like this when we move http://www.bhg.com/decorating/storage/organization-basics/declutter-and-stress-less/#page=19

but that entry is a little more narrow than ours now. so not sure.

Good Morning from the day after!

I've missed you guys so much, but getting on here at any reasonable hour is so painfully slow that i've given up Dis-ing

Hope everyone who's ill is feeling better soon. I came home from the world with a cold -it had BETTER be gone by the 15th so I can have my carpal tunnel surgery.

The best thing I ever did was to add a box by the door for everyone to dump their shoes in- it may not be especially pretty but at least it gets them off the floor and into a container. It took a few times of dumping shoes into the box of hiding them for everyone to get the idea that unless they want to put up them in their own bedroom - they go in the box not whever one takes them off.
