The Daily Grind ~ 2/17/15

Good Morning!!

Yea, uh, whatever!

Got a text the college kids' campus is closed till 10AM.... Then get a text from said kids... Mom, what does that mean... I have class at 9-10:15.. so should I show up from 10-10:15... Me: I wouldn't!! But I would attend any of my classes that start after 10AM... But remember when I went to college we didn't get snow days or 2 hour delays!! The bonus is the local schools are closed so DD doesn't have to drive for student teaching. She does have to drive 2 streets for her car appointment though. DD did send me a screen shot from FB where many kids asked the school directly what that meant since none of them have had that before... it was either open or closed... no 2 hour delay.


It's a very, very cold moring at 1 degree.. blech!! blech! blech!! I know others have it worse but blech on so many levels!!!!

Today's agend:

make lunches x 2
once over house
DS14 up
exercise
warm car
DS14 to school
scrap
pick up DS14
homework
prep for tomorrow

Dang - that is cold Nan!

Three of my siblings and my Dad live in the Atlanta area - no school or work for them (they are all school teachers!) today as everything is encased in ice. Dad posted pics of the trees in his backyard, all bent off to the side due to the weight of the ice. I have a brother in Cincy at -5 and then another brother in Phoenix who's temps will reach the 80's today - even warmer than us here in South Florida!

Well - I am heading out to WDW in the morning - yay! Gonna be a cool couple of days there, 50's during the day and 30's at night. Thank goodness it will warm up on Saturday! I had to pack a mix of clothing along with a jacket, scarf and gloves!

Today:
Walk
Clean cat dishes
Sweep pantry floor
Wipe down guest bath
Get car washed and gassed up
Mani
Run to Bed, Bath and Beyond to exchange a new towel that is falling apart already after 30 days!
Scrap a couple pages?
Casserole for dinner


Well, I will be off for the next 10 days - I'll check in if I can but last time I looked, the mobile DISBOARDS app hasn't worked since the upgrade, not sure what's going on with that.

This weather is crazy!!!

As for the mobile app for the DIS delete it.. it is no longer needed.. You just need to type in the disboards.com as if you were on the internet at home... it works with the mobile phones on your phone brower.

Nan, that is chilly....feel guilty since we are having some nice weather in the 50's more like spring here than winter, flowers and trees are starting to bloom and bud out. stay warm!

Morning all!!!
Nan your kids crack me up. No they don't go to class from 10-10:15. They go to the next class. We've been dealing with that here too.

It's snowing here today, again. DS14 had a 2 hour delay. The little ones don't have school, it's winter break. And DS18 doesn't have class on Tuesdays. So it's been a nice relaxing morning.

I really really need to be packing, I leave for WDW on Thursday but I just can not get my act together!

Pay bills
balance check book
Take DD to lunch for her girl date with a friend
Kohls, lenscrafters, finish line, grocery store, gift for my WDW roomies
dinner
