I worked my last evening shift till 3/9! Tomorrow I have to go in for a training class at noon...then off for VACA!!!

My list for today:

Good morning! Happy Wednesday. . .we're 1/2 way through the week!! 3 working days (counting today) until the long weekend. . .44 days til WDW!

Deb, YAYAYAYAYYAYAYAY!!! It's almost here!! I bet you are beside yourself with excitement! I am SO excited for you!! Can't wait to see pics! If it were me, I wouldn't hear a single thing they said in training today!

My list for today:

1. Up
2. Caffeinate
3. Pack DH's lunch
4. Layout scrap pages
5. DS & stuff to mom's
6. Work 1/2 day
7. Pick up DS early
8. Girlie dr appt--just routine. . .and it gets me out of 1/2 day of work!
9. Play outside with DS
10. Dust
11. Fold laundry
12. Call DVC for PhotoPass code
13. PL pic
14. Scrap 2-4 pages
15. Scrambled egg sandwiches for dinner
16. Watch DVR'd shows
17. Go to sleep early!

Other than work, there's not much happening today. I need to get DS to look through one of the college housing applications today to make sure he's got the meal thing like he really wants. I don't think it's how he wants it which is why I'm making him relook at it! I must get that in the mail today. I've been holding off mailing it since the $$ that goes with it is nonrefundable and wanted to make sure this really was a school DS might actually attend. I will be so very happy when he makes his final decision as to where he's going!

DH is in Orlando and he's going to be shopping at Downtown Disney tonight!!!! He said he looked around here for my birthday present, but he decided to give me an IOU last week on my birthday because he really wanted to shop down there!! I can't wait to see my Disney surprises!!!!

SIOH - 44 days is wonderful too....
DIT - having gone through the college decision making 4 times,it is a giant sigh of relief when the final choice is made.
2 more school days, then a week off to relax and get some painting done.
Hoping to sell this big house next yr and know that HGTV has gotten us to do things!!!

Debbie ~ congrats on the last the of work.. You might call tomorrow first thing to work incase they change the time again..

SIOH ~ we need to touch base soon! Did you see they gave our QB a franchise tag??? Plus he will get 23K next year.. Think he has enough to take us on vacation!

DIT ~ yes, it's so nice to get the final college decision... I remember thinking.. deposits.. no refundable.. make the right choice...thats important money. DsS knew where he wanted to go between 2 schools.. once he went to FIT and didn't like it.. he called his Dad and told him to send the money to the other school... PJ has her heart set on 2 schools right now... the one school sends her stuff monthly... I'm ready to apply..but we have to wait til this school year is over.. She is getting ready for her ACT/SATs in June.. Then again in Nov/Dec.

thank you ladies! Another long day of waiting.......................
1 dose of the morphine straighten out the breathing and now its the waiting game. Nan was never one to make snap decisions guess she's holding true till the end.

spent the afternoon crying and looking at pics and gathering the stuff that mom wants me to bring down. I had to put my foot down about bringing her cross down I wore that cross up until 2 years ago when i got worried about it's condition. it's not leaving my possision!!!!! I've watched my cousins and 1 aunt have a hissy over other stuff she's given me I'm not going there during this time. In fact I'm tempted to take off my anniversary band I had made with her diamonds.

sorry to be the downer of the bunch.

Tell your Aunt and cousins to take a long walk off a short cliff.. If Nan wanted you to have that stuff then that is why it was given to you early on.. They are just being greedy... (seems those kind of people become vultures in times like these).. Been through the same stuff here.. and like you I don't bend the rules for no one... especially those that are just in it for GREED! I set several family members off because I hold my ground!!!

Christy there is no reason to bring over your things that she gave you- hold on to the things you cherish and they can have what she has there already. Sorry you are having to go through this- I am glad we haven't had a problem with either of my grandparents deaths and possessions.

I guess what bugs me is that she gave me these things 15-25 years ago they just never knew until she had her stroke 7 years ago. She was well aware of who and why she gave those things out. I got more than the others and that is what irks them. Well tough-o cause she spent the most time with me and I'm the baby and my mom was her youngest. I was also the most like her and that is probably why.

thanks for helping me stick to my gut feelings and praying for us. I sincerely hope that it's soon for her sake and the 3 daughters. They are taking turns staying with her and this is going to wear them out.

Thank you for all your prayers I know mean alot to mom and I!

Christy, I'm sending prayers and pixie dust to you!! I went through the same thing with my grandmother when she passed away. Things she had given me were suddenly demanded by other family members!!

Tell them to stick it!!

Thanks everyone for Mom's get well wishes! She is uncomfortable but she was discharged from the hospital this afternoon and resting at my house.
