Christy, that would probably be the best gift you can give her, as hard as it for you.
MomE (and Lisa) survived her surgery so well, she MAY get to come home tonight!

Yeah, that didn't happen. The dr and I knew she wouldn't be up for going home today but Mom was determined until she woke from the surgery. Bless her.

She will be discharged tomorrow.
We left the house at 5:00 am to be at the hospital at 5:30. I got about two miles from my house and said, "oh, sugar, I am driving". I am not supposed to drive in the dark.

oops.

So I pulled over, we switched drivers and went on our merry way. We all were so distracted this morning that none of us realized what was happening as we left the house.
Mom's surgery was text book. The doctor was pleased on how it proceeded and he feels her recovery will be a couple of days. She has until next Thursday to rest so she can get on the plane for the sunshine state.
So besides hanging out at the hospital all day, we also had Special Olympic swim. Yes, we finally had swim since before Christmas. I had the volunteers Christmas gifts and told them now it was Merry Christine Day!
