We bought a new to us car today- a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer.

Busy day-this is the first chance I've had to sit down and get on my laptop...
Making dinner now, then we're off to pageant practice for Dneice (Saturday's the big day), and round 2 of DS5's basketball playoffs.

I HAVE SHOVELED OUT FOUR TIMES TODAY! 3-5 INCHES EACH TIME!

I AM SO TIRED OF SNOW!

The piles are way over my head now and much higher (7-8+ feet in most places in our front yard). (We had 60 inches on the ground before today's storm even started.) I can't even imagine where we're gonna put the 9-12 inches they are forecasting for tomorrow...then ice. Oh joy...

Can't one of you lucky duckies with a shiny new car come rescue us? Congrats Rita and Rebecca on your car purchases! The only type of vehicle that would make me happier right now would be a snow plow!

Nan - I have been watching reports on TV of your ice storm and it sounds severe. Do hope that all of you are safe. We are on the fringe of ice/snow for tomorrow being right on the CT/MA line.

It's nasty..but it doesn't hold a candle to the one we had in 1991-1992.... that iced us all in for days.. I was in college and had to drive 2 hours north to pick up a sorority sister to take her back... my gosh... that was awful.... then we drove 3 hours back south to school...

Anyway, it's been constantly sleeting today... they finally gave in and called school off for tomorrow about 4pm.. However, I had jokingly texted my friend and said I was invoking my power to call school off for the day.. within 15 minutes we got official word from the school that it was canceled.. They are saying it is going to lighten up tonight but then the snow from IL is going to wrap in behind it....

The kids were ice skating in the drive today... WE are going to do it again tomorrow too.... We tried taking the lowers of ice off the vehicles..but when we clean...go in... there is more back on it...

so far only 3 inches and we are in between the storms. Going to bed since I know tom will be out by 3amish.
