The Daily Grind ~ 12/6/13

TGIF!!

Ok, round 1 has come through.. Unfortunately, no delay for school...and round 2 of 3 is on it's way in.... So, today, we will be watching the news and awaiting a text in case their is an early dismissal. The county west to us is completely closed down... We are predicted to get between 5-9"... However, we all know how that goes.. depends on where you are if you get it... PJ is supposed to get 9-12" per our weather report.. I'm curious to talk to her this morning and see what happened.. she had a few hours of freezing rain last night..

Need to get dressed and go out and help DH clean off the cars...

Today's agenda:

make lunches x 3
clean off vehicles/sidewalk
boys up
await text from PJ
await news if they will be closing school early... I highly doubt it but if I don't prepare they will...
await possible phone call that my van is ready to come home -- fingers crossed
email friend and see if she went to the meeting at the school last night about the future of transportation in our district
scrap
balance ckbk/pay bills

I'm so glad we have absolutely nothing on our schedules this weekend.. I am going to scrap the weekend away.... I am so far behind my goals for this month!

Hope everyone has a great Friday. Our weekend is full of work parties and other events but this evening is supposed to be a quiet one.

Today:
work
exercise
make strawberry frozen yogurt
dinner- chicken
grade some papers
put decorations on the tree
a couple of boxes into the scraproom

PJ and the university just called/texted..(I'm signed up for their alerts)... campus is closed today!!! They have hazardous road conditions and canceled all classes. This is the firs time PJ has ever missed a class. She said they are going out after the snow finally hits for a snowball fight.. she said it looks like a dusting of snow now and there is about an inch or so of ice on her car...

I'm getting my van back today!!
I just have to wait for DH to get home from work so we can go look it over and make sure everything is fixed and put back together like it is supposed to be... I will not part with my money unless the work is perfect... Although where we took it, I don't think I have to worry about anything...

PJ just texted me a photos.. the snow is now falling on them... they had freezing rain most of last night... they have at least an inch on the ground now...but they are expecting a lot more! She is excited to have more snow fall and the boys have already been trash talking for the snowball fight! Poor guys don't know what they are in for... considering DD and DD's roommate are from the north and know how to pack a snowball and toss them with accuracy!!!

So far it is still quiet here... the roads were pitiful this morning... they look better now.. the ones in front of the MS were the worst..

ETA: My van is HOME!!! She smells like fresh paint though...blech.... I hope that goes away soon.. have some dust to clean up inside the car but no big deal. I did voice my concern about it...but I wanted my car....

Sitting down for a minute and catch my breath. Kids are busy, so I have max 10 minutes before next calamity! Lol

Trying to figure out what we are going to do tonight. Cookies, more decorations r more hopping? Not sure if it my attitude this year, if we just have too much or if it really is that everything in the stores this year is stuff I didn't want in previous years because I feel like I've seen it all before & didn't want it then.....
