It's Saturday

So after the Cosmo tasting last night (DS17's over 21 aged friend was helping me taste ) I didn't get any cuppycakes baked. And I have decided that I'm not crazy about vodka, I'm more a tequila kind of girl for the cocktail kind of drinks But I have the makings, and a shaker, so I'm taking the cosmo stuff to the party But I'll be making skinny girl margaritas for me and those who want to try them

My list for today:

Good morning! It's a beautiful day here--we woke up with about an inch of SN*W on the ground, and more falling!! We NEVER get snow in Dec here, so we're loving it! DH & DS are gone to Wally, and I've got to get to working, but I wanted to check in here!

Deb--enjoy the party! And, I must say, I LOVE the Swish & Swipe smilie!!

Here's my list for today:

1. Up
2. Caffeinate
3. Take clothes out of washer & reboot
4. Fold laundry--it's taking over
5. DS up
6. DS breakfast
7. DS & DH off to wally
8. Work
9. Get stuff together for family bday party tomorrow
10. Work on Christmas cards
11. Watch DVR'd episode of "The Mentalist" and then I'm caught up with that one
12. Watch SEC Championship--yep, I'm a tried and true Vols fan, but I STILL appreciate Tim Tebow!!

16. Go to sleep early--trying to fight off a cold!

Mornin'!

We are anxiously awaiting DH's return. I've talked to him but can't get a real read on how he is doing. His Sis and he stayed up and talked til about 1am...and he got some inside info on the Northern Outlaws. Evidently, I have a niece that is too much like me according to her mother (Sis) because she emailed MIL and told her what she thought! Go girl go! She was nice and respectful (as DH was able to read the email) but she was very to the point about MIL's lack of involvement or concern over the grandkids this direction. She even said she was speaking on behalf of the 8 kids this direction! LOL

OK, so back to the list...
Await DH's call that he is at the airport
Await DH's txt they are taxing as he turns off phone
get ready
put up small tree in our room
put wrapping paper/gift box tote in our closet
fill extra tote w/ gifts to get them hidden a bit
fluff, fold and put away last load of laundry
clean bathroom
clean up dining room table (it was the catch all yesterday)
clean up DH's desk
clean up my desk
clean up bar area
await DH's text he has landed in Indy
await DH's arrival home
wake kids to see dad (2 are still sleeping, DH woke youngest up this morning calling house phone! ERK)
talk w/ DH
find out what is going on w/ boys coming over (one is at a competition, don't know where other is)
take photos of the Elves (it was a none event nite, they were exhausted)
lunch
make a run to town w/ DH (grocery/Elf finding mission)
DS13 to birthday party
elfcapade tonight (donut morning)
ETA:

Ugh! Brooke, I'm so sorry you found that white stuff on your lawn.. However, that is so neat for Big D. Go get photos of him, I'd love to see his reaction to it!!! I miss those days... DD sit in it her first year (at 1 yo) and you should have seen her surprise to find out it was COLD!!!

Good Morning!

Since it is wet and stormy I don't know how our day will go- many things we were suposed to do depended on good weather.

see if garage sale at church is on- bring stuff over if it is, see if we want to buy stuff
Christmas parade- again depends on weather
church tonight- Daniel is doing sound/PP and I am helping with the cooking- normally the pastor's wife at that church does it but she is headed to be with her mom as she had a stroke last night
put away things I bought yesterday and total up tally of spending - so I know what I have left

I'm watching HS football. My nephew's team is getting spanked, poor kids. I don't know if they will let the juniors play or not, but it's pretty much over at this point (38-15).

Got to see my good friend Holly for breakfast and chatting at Panera. Princess has dance at 1:00 and then we are going to the (gasp!!) mall to do some Christmas shopping.

Nan, hope DH is holding up well, must be incredibly hard.

Deb, enjoy your par-tay!

Brooke, we're expecting sn*w tonight. Not a lot, hopefully just enough to get a good picture of Princess for a Christmas card, I'm sucking wind about now for my cards.

Glad to hear he is almost home.

Just got back from an 8:15 basketball game, with a 9:30 right after it. Then we went across the street to the high school to see Santa. Little Bit asked if Gamma could please come to our house next year. Santa said, "It just might come true." Little Bit is now walking around with a shark on his face. No snowman or candy cane for this boy.

Need to go do some clean up from last night. The cookie thieves need to be put back.

Not sure what else will get done. It is wicked cold out there right now.

Weather took a bad turn, and it's a far drive for me, nevermind that I'm going alone and in the dark. So, my family is thrilled that all the cuppycakes will be staying home with them

OK, I'm off to start beading... seems that's what I do when the white stuff is a fallin

i'm trying to clean my house, but as you can see i'm on here!!!

we were going to go to wickford for a christmasy thing, but it's cold and rainy so forget it. dh is trying to finish up on the living room. anytime soon would be good so we can put a tree up. i think it's too late to get new furniture before christmas. so no biggie. we will do it after.

Nope, they aren't premade. I was taking the stuffs and gonna let the peeps do their own thing. Now I have this giant bottle of vodka... DS21 said he needs to get some kahlua to make some white russians But the only one that drinks the vodka is DsS27, so I told DH to wrap it up for him...under the tree it goes

They are gonna have to fight me for the peach schnapps though...yummmmm

Holly, I think Christy said she'd be without internet access for a few days.

We've been cleaning up around here and I'm going to finally get to work putting up the rest of the Christmas decorations. Then, it's the SEC Championship. GO GATORS!!!!! I'll probably miss the end of the game because I'll need to leave before it's over to go see DS in the play.

You have to send us a DVD copy when it comes out - I love the Hamlet scene too.
