Make ressies for the pups for doggie care in Feb

Pick up new (to me) car! I'M SO EXCITED!!!!
Figure out how things work before I have to go to work today!

Jen, I hope you get your water heater working today.

I now have a working oven!!! DH went to the parts store yesterday and got a new heating element for my oven and in 10 minutes had it installed and my oven working!!!!! $61 for the element is a whole lot better than buying a new oven.

Return gift I bought for SIL (decided when I got home that I didn't like it) and get something else
Wrap MIL and SIL's presents (we get together with them tomorrow)
Clean
Bills
Do something with DH & DS (maybe a movie or something)
Dinner - maybe at The Outback?? my neighbors gave me a Outback giftcard for taking care of their cats this past week. I that place!
Worry more than usual until DS gets home tonight. He's going to a party at a friend's house for New Years and there are going to more fools on the road tonight than usual.

Good Morning, Ladies!

Today. . . hm.

Yesterday, after pool, groceries and breakfast, we drove out to Gloversville to visit the glove outlets and the scrapbook store.

Unfortunately, the scrapbook store had gone out of business.

However, we DID find gloves. I got a nice pair of whites with pearl button trim for $2, a pair of red leather for $2, AND a "walking bag" roll on for $65 (about half retail). Those are the ones that roll in every direction and will support your weight if you lean on them. Dh got a pair of ski gloves for half price as well.

Today
No gym or pool again until after my trip - the other day the gym attendant had the flu and I decided I didn't want to risk any exposure to anything at this late date.
Finish packing!
Going to friends house to stamp I am happy.
Steak for dinner

bed at the usual time.

so I'd planned on parking the truck till mon am but appearantly the annoucemnt of I'm going to the store yesterday didn't sink in and we are out of dog food as of this am!!!!!! so I'm going out again think I'm stocking up this time. and maybe I'll do chinese for dinner buy it at lunch time is much cheaper than dinner time soooooo

today I have to dismantle tree didn't get that done yesterday DONE!!!!! now to clean up after the messy thingcause Bay decided to make a mess in the house borrowed packing form the boys room and ripped it up and left it in the living room. It looked like xmas am again.

Deb--thank you for the condolences! And YAY for the new car and Kidani! we stayed in Kidani (in a one-bedroom) in October 2009--I LOVE it!!!
DIT--I love Outback, too!
Linda--I don't blame you for avoiding the flu germies!! Your trip is SOON!
Rebecca--Your appetizers sound great! Yummy, wings!!
Christy--I always end up with 2 or 3 store trips, too! I understand! Chinese sounds yummy, though!

I have a whole list I could/should do today, but you know what? It's my last "real day" off with DS--we go back to work Monday--and DH is coming home at noon. So I'm just going to do the essentials and then hang out with my guys!!

Well, woke up to just a bottom ball of the sn*wman from last week.. Everything else is gone and it's a muddy mess!!!

DH did the flush and fill of my radiator today (saved up $60.00).. That money we'll use to flush and fill DD's truck next weekend (and we still save $25.00 over what they quoted us to do just my vehicle!). Next up for my van is the transmission flush and fill and we'll leave that to the experts.

Today:

DH took DS14 to practice (they have practice tomorrow morning too; guess coach wants to see who can make it in and practice for 2+ hours after NYE ~ LOL)
Mom up to visit
DH to take DS14 to deliver his fundraising pizzas
Laundry (might as well toss the new year out the same way I brought it in)
go over budget w/ DH
finish up Group M (Holiday swap) tomorrow's list
finish up halloween themed letters (holiday swap) Working on now.. love the happy haunts font!!!On group left for tomorrow!!!!
sketch NYE mini-kit for tomorrow (plan to be swap free by 1/1/11) sketched and ready for tomorrow.. papers pulled and I love my idea...

Ok, I better go and get started! Here is hoping everyone has a wonderful, safe and HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EVE and a fabulous NEW YEAR!

DIT ~ will say prayers for a safe drive home for DS... I know what you mean about the additional fools on the roads at this time.. Another reason we started the tradition of family night on NYE.. We are in the house no later than 6pm; if we have errands and the rest of the night is dedicated to just us (and photos).

I'm working. Hopefully not all day. Not that I have any plans, but I'd like to be home with my family.

DH's friend was able to get the water heater working. We will be doing some rewiring this summer, when it's warmer and he's on vacation. He didn't charge us a dime, so we'll send he and his wife a gift card for a restaurant or something. It was nice to have hot water this morning. I think we need to up the temp though, it wasn't really hot enough for me

I hope everyone has a safe New Year's Eve! No big plans for us, I got Eclipse for Christmas, so we'll probably watch that.

Happy almost New Year, everyone!

Yay for new cars and water heaters!

I worked today, and am now counting down the hours until this wretched year is over. We talked about burning the calendar, but a friend wisely pointed out that with the luck we've had, fire is a bad idea considering the year is not over yet. Don't want to really end the year with a bang. So I cut out a giant "2010" with the Cricut and on it I wrote out every horrible thing that happened this year. Right before midnight we will ceremoniously rip it up into confetti and toast in the new year. I have never been more excited for New Year's in my life! 2011 will be a better year!

I'm starting 2011 by "treasuring" my girls in Breckenridge. DH is sick so he's not going (and someone needs to stay with the dogs). We'll be back on Monday afternoon.
