At Michaels, yesterday, we were putting out Valentine's and St. Patrick's day goodies. It was fun opening each box to see what surprise lay inside!!

Today:
Leave chore list for DS
Work
Stop at Borders for last Christmas gift
Wrap MIL and SIL's presents
Start taking Christmas decorations down
Keep fingers crossed that DH is able to get a new element for my oven today.
Dinner - depends on what happens with the oven

My day will involve waiting for the installer for the new water heater! He'd better be here early. I think I'll start taking the tree down and hope to get a little scrapping done. I realllllllly want to work on my cruise book.

Bills to pay, library run, and all that.

Don't know what we'll have for dinner. I really don't want to think about it right now.

Has anyone been able to update their Gypsy from the last set of cartridges? I can't get the Cricut Sync software to work.

Stephanie, DH and I were at M's last night. I saw the display for MS punches. OMG, why do they keep doing it to me?

last day of work this year for me and only had to work 3 days this week.

dinner? might just be me E's been at a friends since last night then they are going to jv and varsity highschool ball games. One of the coaches at his level is also the jv coach and the camp coach he is AWESOME they get to sit right behind his bench (appenantely this is a huge deal to a 4th grader) Tom and L are ice fishin today

Found Expression cord!! When I put in my two new tables the cord got separated and was put away in a "safe" spot.

Apparently I need to update my Gypsy. Thanks, Jennifer!!
Watch the UConn womens basketball game against Stanford. Hopefully the streak of wins won't be broken, up to 90 at this point!!

Prayers and piexie dust to all in need.

Been up and movin' this morning.. was awoken to a shaky feeling.. felt that feeling before... yup, an earthquake in central IN. I'm like prone to feel them when my DH doesn't... He laughed at me.. and yet again.. I was right!! Happy Dance!!!

Today:
DH out the door to work (he is off tomorrow and the wknd)DS14 to pizza making and practice (await call to pick him up & pizzas)
makes sure all the labels are secure on the Christmas totes..
take down small tree in master bedroom (big tree stays up til kids return to school)
look over budget one last time (things looks really good for my goals)

Morning all!

Nan - that is kind of scary! Have you had those before? I'd be freaked out.

Catchup day today - laundry, cleaning, etc. I was supposed to have the day off with DH but he got called for overtime again.

Last night was my Dad's family Christmas gathering. This was the first gathering since the funerals of my aunt and grandfather. Such a wonderful night and so good to be with family. Very strange to think this is probably the last Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa's house - home for the last 47 years. It goes on the market in the spring. I said we'll have to have one last major farewell party to the house - I just can't imagine it not being "ours" anymore.

I had been pushing myself to get a scrapbook done for Grandma with all the pictures of Grandpa that we had used for the collages at his funeral services. I am so glad I got it done in time for Christmas - she just adored it. She pored over every page and couldn't stop talking about it. The power of scrapbooking! This is why we do it!

Jennifer I hear ya on the hot water. We have a tankless and I hate it!! Now I need to save up $1500 for one to be put in our boiler. We had that at our old house and it worked much better. I hope to have that installed in February.

So, I totally forgot that today was the "call DVC for the 60day window" to use the holding points.

Got a 2 bedroom Savanah View at Kidani SWA-EEET!!!

We have never stayed there! SOOOO EXCITED!!! Finally going to eat at BOMA!!

AND Southwest has a low fares special going to get the boys down to see my Dad for his 80th in FLA after the cruise!!! So we can swing that way to pick them up on our way "home"!

Wow, I gots me some good Karma going right now!!

Nothing in the crockpot today after all. Got involved with DS22s details for his semester in India.

I just need like 2 more hours in my day! And I was up early this morning!

Electrician showed up at 1:00...Went down in the basement and started his thing. Seconds later, I hear "Ma'am?" Uh oh. "This wiring is wrong and it's illegal for me to hook this up." Are you KIDDING ME?! "I can't rewire it today, but I could do it tomorrow, and it will cost you $275."

I give up.

I'm done, cooked, finito. Stick a fork in me.

DH has a friend who is an electrician. He's coming over this afternoon, I don't know if he'll just hook it up, or will have to rewire, but I had to move some stuff down there. Note to self, NO MORE STUFF. It's like an episode of Hoarders down there. I'm so embarrassed.

Of course, if he needs to rewire it, he needs to rewire it. I just don't understand why it wasn't an issue when the previous one was installed, unless the laws have recently changed, and I don't think they have. He's really good to us, I'm sure he won't charge us as much as anyone else would, but it's another expense I'd rather not deal with. Thankfully, my boss gave me a nice anniversary bonus (belated). Sadly, it's not going to go toward paying down my bills like I thought it would.

DD2 and I watched movies this morning (I was "treasuring" my time with her) and I didn't get to any chores this morning.

This afternoon:

DH to store (it is finally snowing here )
Help DD2 set up her new bed (DH picked it up this morning)
Take down decorations
Vaccuum & mop
Dinner--grilled ham & cheese with tomato soup
