The Daily Grind ~ 12/3/11

I'm so glad it's Saturday!!!! Lot's going on here today..
DS11 is w/ FIL.. DH will go get him soon.
DS15 just got home from ball practice after his game last night... the JV won!
DD is off at a cheer competition with a family she watches at the daycare. She was also asked yesterday if that daycare doesn't have enough to stay open (since it's sponsored thru the shool) if she could watch one of the little ones that lives 3 house from us! DD said yes, if not, mom will keep her for you.. The mom said cool.. I'll touch base when we know what is going on.

So, today:

this evening
finish cutting the DHS groups
complete the paper piecings for each group (easier to complete than just cut and bag those)
dinner
once over the house..everyone gets a room (I claimed the dining room and kitchen)
if all DHS groups are cut...clean scraproom so I can start on my own pages... I have some projects for presents I need to complete.. Sister word book and Grandpa word book.

Been busy this morning:

Shopping both online and in store
PO to mail a few things
catch up on DIS
dinner before drama, Julia needs to be there at 5, show starts at 7. Can't wait!
Work tomorrow, 8-6, yuck!!!!

Josh is finally on his way to have his blood work done! Mono is going around the college too. Sent him a little mom care package with vitamins, etc and a note that reminded him to get plenty of rest, fluids ect. Now the waiting begins to hear back from his tests.

Josh called a bit ago, seems they do not do the type of test he needs on Saturdays after 1 pm or on Sundays, he has to wait till Monday between 7:30 and 5:30. This is a hospital, um okay waiting till Monday.....

See update to post above. I am sooo frustrated, I can't be there to take him so I have to rely on the information he is giving me. He couldn't come home and see his regular Dr because he has too much group projects to get done and he was scheduled to work.

I know I have to let go, but I am worried that he will just give up on getting this done. Will check with him on Monday afternoon to see what is happening.

What the heck...hospital doesn't do those types of tests... uhm, okay..must be a smaller hospital....

Finger's crossed... hope he will make time on Monday to go back and get this handled..
mom, I know how it is... I have my college stepson that I still worry and harp on about making sure he takes care of himself. Heck, I got on him about his eating habits.. He is thinner than me and is 6'...hello sunshine, if I can wrap one arm completely around you you are too darn skinny!!!

Oh, Cassey, that's frustrating! I hope he gets there "on time" tomorrow. I can't imagine making someone wait, they could be out there infecting others! (Well, hopefully *he's* not swapping saliva with anyone else, but others could). Did you enjoy the show?

We spent the morning at the Fashion Design School of RISD. Got a tour of the work rooms and met some very amazing young students. Ah, to be so creative. The girls enjoyed it thoroughly.

Morgan needed black bottoms (pants or skirt) for the band and chorus concerts coming up, so we did a little shopping after the tour. When we got home I was so exhausted, I just crashed! Out like a light for a couple hours. Had dinner and then went to bed again! I think the infections are catching up with me. Feeling better, but still not 100%, my right ear is still ringing and feels like it's blocked. I should have asked for some decongestant. I may call today to see if whomever is on call can prescribe something good.

No plans to do much today. Little picking up and cleaning, but I think we're staying home in our PJs today. I like those days!

Casey- Hopefully he will get tested soon.
Is he showing any symptoms? When I was in college both my roommate and my boyfriend came down with mono but I never got it. When I was tested and came out negative (since I new I had been exposed) the doctor said I was a carrier and could give it to people but would never get it myself.

Thanks for the everyone!

Josh has a light class schedule on Mondays so he promised to have it taken care of. This is a college town hospital so I was very surprised that they put him off. He says he is feeling better, but I still encouraged him to be tested, just so we know.

He is not swapping saliva with anyone at the moment, and not for a looooong time! That was our agreement, I pay copay, no swapping of any kind for him! He agreed to it, so I am good, for awhile anyway.

Julia's show was fantastic! The students always do a wonderful job. DH went to today's show and said it was just as good. Drama is done till after the holidays. Winter chorus concert coming up, need to find a white shirt for her. UGH!! Hit every store in the mall on Friday and found nothing she likes.

Need to pack up a package to mail tomorrow and then I am hitting my bed!

Cassey, I've given up on the white shirt. I got an off white cardigan for her. If they have a problem, they can take it up with me!
