Waiting for the phone call from Sears that they will be here to put in my water heater. I hope it comes early or they say they'll be here around noon, so I can bring Morgan to the cookie decorating thing at Panera. I may call and see what I can find out.

No plans for the day. We were supposed to get together with some of the girl scout troop to start working on our reusable snack bags, but I've got to wait for the installation guy. Maybe I'll be able to scrap.

So my list is:

Hopefully take a HOT shower?
No idea what to have for dinner. I'm thinking take out!

Good morning, everyone!

We had a local heating contractor put in our water heater last year. It cost more than your quote, but it was done the same day we called it in. Wish we'd gone with one of those instant 'point of use' hot water systems - it would have cost still more and taken longer, but saves a LOT of water in the long run.

Dusting the "tonsil' boy - hope he's feeling MUCH better by now, poor little thing.

Didn't want to but went out to the gym dark and early. It was virtually empty so I was glad I went!

Today
Finish thank you cards
drink lots of water
eat healthy
gather stuff for cruise packing
make final shopping list for tomorrow

I might have found my new car already It's like the one I have, only 3yrs newer, low milage... DH is on his way to check it out right now. He woke me up at 0800 to tell me his little plan. He wanted to know if I could be ready in 1/2hr to go with him Ummm, no...

So, he is going to check it out, and if he likes it, bring it home for approval. Then we will take it back tomorrow if I like it... and buy it. This year is closing out with a bang!

My goodness MM2000, that is awful.. Did you happen to write down the name of the fool you spoke with at Sears yesterday? I'd be going up the chain of command ranting til I got my stuff I ordered... that water heater is a necessity.. Sorry you are dealing with that..

Well, one department had it, but the other didn't. Um, hello? Aren't you all connected by COMPUTERS?! Regardless, the order has been found and was getting "processed" at 8:30. Why it wasn't "processed" at 1:00 pm yesterday when I placed it, I'll never know. If I don't hear from the technician by 11:30, I'm going to call again, we neeeeeeeeed a water heater. It was hellish last night washing Dan's and Morgan's hair in the sink, and washing dishes with boiled water and then rinsing with cold cold cold. I have to work tomorrow, so I really want to be able to shower. If I can't, it will mean going to my sister's before work and showering there. And, if they can't put it in today, we'll have to wait until Thursday (when I have the day off), or Friday (when Dan does). It's always something, isn't it?

We did have a chance to run to the gingerbread cookie decorating at Panera, tried our brand spanking new one in town (they opened today!) and they weren't doing the cookie decorating, but here is a free Valentine cookie for coming in I know we'll be regulars there.

Morgan's (very expensive) sock monkey hat lost a tie this morning. Called the place and they are sending a replacement and a return label. Laundry is in progress. Good thing I wash in cold. I should probably start taking the tree down (all the totes are in the dining room because we needed to make room in the basement for the installation of the new water heater), but I really don't want to.

Went back on the website, and the car DH went for is gone from the listings.
Called DH and he is at the dealership right now. I asked if the car was gone and he said yes. He is going to call me back in a few.

So, I guess that wasn't my new car... funny I really had a good feeling about it

MM2000- hope they can get it taken care of today! What a pain!

Linda- We are thinking about getting the instant water heaters too. Our's right now is pretty old, and we know it's only a matter of time. Plus that will free up all that room in that closet for storage. And hopefully be more more cost and fuel efficient.

Glad they were able to find out the issue MM2000...but you are right.. makes no sense why the departments weren't seeing it in linked computers.... Hope they are out there soon.....

Nope, it was sold last Friday.

However, DH did say that a really nice Acura was on the lot. I checked it online, and we are going to take the test drive tomorrow. I always believe that things happen for a reason... maybe I was meant to have the heated seats like in the Acura

I hope you get your water heater today! How can they be so stupid though? One has the order, the other doesn't? Makes no sense really!

Oh yeah, nothing like heated seats! My Dodge Grand Caravan has them in the front and the two middle rear seats. Initially we were looking at another vehicle but that had technical difficulties when we went to take it for a test ride. this was available. I was sold on those heated seats!!

Oh, Jennifer! What a mess! So sorry you're dealing with this - ugh!

Today was busy here - got up early to shovel again! Finally done! And that Hoarders show really got us moving to purge stuff - did almost all of everyone's bedroom closets today. Oodles of stuff for charity, trash, and recycling!!! We're tired, but motivated!

Deb, good luck with the car search - exciting, but too bad the crash happened to start the process. Glad only the car was hurt.
