Aww, too bad I hadn't thought of it sooner! We could have done a shoe box swap for Valentine's! No, not an actual shoe box, but I design a card and put all the supplies needed to make the card in a shoe box and we pass the shoe boxes around and make each others cards! Oh well, maybe next time?

Well, you can come up to CO if you want! And to think we were a few short months away from having parties in AZ...shoulda joined the scrappers sooner.

But their get-to-gethers sound so much fun. I hope someday to be able to join them once. DH wants to go to a New England Revolution game sometime, and I've never been to Boston, so I want to come. I'll need something to do when he is at the game, but I'm sure that if we do actually go some year, that weekend everyone will be out of town/too busy. But if it happens, hopefully I could give a lot of notice.

I know you werent crazy about AZ, but we have great springs here!
We could even meet at DL sometime.
I feel like Snoopy's brother Spike and his lone cactus! There's no one here!

We moved up here March 2008, I think you started swapping with us in June 08. And I loved AZ, but DH couldn't handle the heat. Plus, he was working in Scottsdale, and we didn't think we could buy anything that would have been close to his work and affordable. So we headed north. At least you have scrap stores in AZ...when we came up there were about 6 or 7 in the Denver area. We are down to one tiny one, with old stock and Archivers.

I would love to meet up at DL...if I could ever get back there. DH keeps putting me off. But I'm pushing hard to try and go sometime this year, since its an anniversary year. I think I'd have more luck getting him to go to Dover and meet up before your cruise . CM rates came out for the repo cruises and Med cruises through June, and I know he is tempted but the airfare is the killer...and we kind of need my Mom to go too.

I hear you AR - I am in CA and um....nobody. There used to be a poster here who lived in Modesto but haven't seen her online in awhile.

HopeMax - who is a CM!? CM rates would be awesome! I wish they had ex-CM rates!!

My Mom is the CM. It's how we were able to do the trans-Atlantic cruise in 2007. My parents wanted to go, and didn't want to go alone. So I was able to talk DH into going too. When my parents were here for Christmas, my Mom saw the CM rates for next summer's European cruises, but I don't think anyone will have enough money. But with the new ships, we figure there will be more opportunities in the future.

There's hardly any of us Westerners. There were a few more but they all seem to have disappeared

Hope~ I dont know how many of us there will be for the DL swap You might have to have some general areas like last time. At least you have yours when Im still here.
That would be truly awesome if you could go on the Baltics!
What does your mom do? When we went to Italy we met several cms who all said that DCL had affered a rate and the time off so many of them jumped at the chance.

She works in merchandise at WDW. She has worked 4.5 years in the shops near Splash Mountain. But due to "office politics" she is transferring to a new position next week. She'll be working the shop at the TTC, although I think she wants to get back into a park eventually.

I was thinking for the DL swap, of doing different type of groups. We talked about doing a vintage style group last year. And I like the idea of just doing altered letters... either do a single letter or multiple to form a word. I was thinking of just having a few "choose your own topic" groups, instead of all the groups to get everything covered. Didn't think there would be enough people to fill all those groups again. If you have any alternate ideas, LMK.
