Have a GREAT day everyone!!

Heading off to bed with 5" of snow and have a feeling that the snowblower will have plenty more to clear in the morning. Thank heavens this week is a break from school!! :yay:

morning all
my day started at 2 am when Tom left to plow snowing over 2" an hour right now. would love to go back to bed but Bay is mad daddy left her and ripped into the one bag of paper that didn't go out so now I have that to clean up and the alarm will be going off in 2 hours anyway.

so far 8.5 on the ground and the wind is howling.

my day?????? depends if they call off work or not will update on that when I hear.
if no work clean up house
get out camera for snow pics with the boys
listen to them whine they want their snowmobiles out
have them do chores
????
nap since I was up 1/2 the night

okay back to bed to at least read and pray for a snooze

Good Morning, Ladies!

Snowing hard here - we have about 6 inches, and not been plowed out yet.

I'm NOT going to the pool and gym this morning, for that very reason.
MUST Get back on my eating plan - the scale was SCAREY this morning!

Start finishing up trip details
prepare to pack last suitcase
debone rest of ham
make 15 bean soup
clean something

Happy Day, all!

For those of you with all that snow, please be careful. We actually had snow flurries here yesterday!:scared1: It's downright freezing right now.

My day:
Write up chore list for DS and put where he can't say he didn't see it
Work
Grocery store
Nag DH about fixing my oven - the bottom baking element died on Christmas day and he needs to replace it.
Add more music to my ipod
Dinner - something I can fix without the oven:headache: I use that thing a lot more than I realize.

Have a great day everyone!

Morning all. Up here with a 3 year old crying her ear hurts. Guess this will dictate my day.

Poor thing. She has had a stuffy nose so I am thinking ear infection. Good thing it is now instead of on our cruise. Will call the pedi and see if he can see her.

Also need to call and see when haircut is scheduled for. Calendar items from old blackberry could not be saved have to try to remember and call for what I know was scheduled. The rest?? I reckon will be forgotten.

Everyone be safe. And warm.

Snow day! DH called his office around 4:00 am and the recording said they were closed. I'm just not taking my life in my hands to go to work. I'll call my boss around 9:00 am and break the news to him.

So, today will be some cleaning and puttering and movie watching. We have some crab and lobster ravioli for later, and they sell Panera's broccoli cheddar soup at the wholesale club! Yummmmmm...we are set for the day!

I ended up with a migraine last night. Stinks.

Stephanie, my bottom element has died too. Hope it's an easy fix for you (and me!).

TRM, hope it's just an ear infection and you get the meds you need today! 10 days, OMG you must be freaking! (By the way, mail from CC takes about 3 to 3 1/2 weeks to get where it's going - it's on island time, mon).

Linda, stay safe and warm!

Christy, eek! Too early! Hope work is closed and you get a nap in.

Caroline, so glad you have the week off and can take your time with the snowblower!

Deb, careful on the roads!

Everyone else, stay warm and safe!

no work here got the call at 5:30 called the next guy and promply crashed again (had just fallen asleep)
kids are wild with all the snow they are headed out
tom just pulled in for breakfast and I'm sure will be back out shortly.

guess I need to get the day started.

stay safe for all the northeast.

crockpots Jen and Stephanie!!!!!
TRM hopefully they will just call in the meds and not make you treak all the way in.

off to get something done

Good morning, everyone! All of you with snow, please be careful! We have about 5-6 inches here. DH went on to work, but DS & I are NOT getting out!!

MM2000--I ended up with a migraine last night, too. I'm feeling "fuzzy" from it now. I hope that goes away soon! Hope yours is feeling better!

I have this whole week off with DS. As part of my new year "live it to the fullest" philosophy, we are going to enjoy every minute--even the ones with 2-year-old sad whining ;)!!

Here's my list for today:

1. Up
2. Caffeinate
3. Breakfast for me & DS

4. Laundry, laundry, laundry!!5. Be a "better" eater today--I know I won't go solidly back to my diet today, but I'd like to keep a better rein on it!
6. Play with DS
7. Lunch
8. Nap
9. Call in medicines for DH to pick up
10. Upload & order pics
11. Work on some stuff for work, if time
12. Start taking Christmas decorations down--ready for the "clean" look of January!
13. Sandwiches for dinner
14. Go to sleep, hopefully migraine-free!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday! Be safe and stay warm!!

Good morning :)

We'd love to have some sn*w here! There's lots in the mountains, but, none here in town. Those of you in the blizzard keep safe & warm.

Hope everyones headaches are better today :flower3:

The city is shutting off our water today to work on the water main  hope it's really only off for 8 hours, but, I'm not holding my breath!

Up
Caffinate
Walk
Crop
Take girls to lunch
Maybe some after Christmas shopping
Wii
Dinner--shrimp scampi
????

Have a great Monday :)

We have had a few power blips, but the power has stayed on. The wind is so bad it woke me up a few times, but we were lucky and only got a few inches of s**w. Down state got a dump load, but it passed over us :thumbsup2

P&PD for everyone that is dealing with the outcome of the weather. Did y'all see the pic I posted of DS18's car yesterday? I'm very lucky my little boy didn't get hurt! He took out the street signs though...

P&PD for everyone not feeling so good! My DH woke up with a bad sinus headache :headache:, so he's laying low today...

Anyone hear from Holly? How is poor Bubba feeling?

Brooke- I love your "live it to the fullest" philosophy! That's what I need to do too! It's not 1 word, but it's the feeling I need for this year!

everyone with s*** stay safe! ouch on the car, luckily he wasn't hurt!

Brooke, I love your motto too, been thinking of mine for next year, wow only 4 days left...I think mine might be patience, really need to work on that one with Megan,, that girl can push my buttons.

today:
:surfweb:
empty dishwasher
clean kitchen
swiffer floors
take out all trashes
finish packing
go do some after xmas shopping
lunch out at Panera - yummy!
dinner left overs - need to clean our fridge before we leave tomorrow
bed early

have a wonderful day everyone!

I hope the migraines go away!

Christy - thanks for the positive thought - but nope - gotta go in - appt is 11:20.

Appliance store has conversion kit for dryer:banana: so I may go pick that up. DH and DD just left to help the other side of the family mark and brand calves - another family dinner tonight.

So I am going to take a shower, find our new RX cards, go to peds office, Target run, PU RX if necessary, PU what I need to make for cheeseball - I think that is what MIL has assigned for me for tonight, PU xmas gift for cousin I forgot! (oops) and maybe get dryer parts.

Again, everyone be safe in the white, drifty stuff.

that stinks. make sure they know you are leaving and get extra incase the 1st dose isn't enough.

wind is getting worse if that's possible dog is freaking out over the house creaking. I need a nap but gotta make tom a hot lunch when he gets back from this loop. he's frozen from doing chores.

:scared1: My water heater is leaking. :sad1: Called Sears to order a new one (I know it's no good), and it's nearly $1000 with delivery, installation, permits, haul away, etc., etc., etc. Merry Christmas to me! Now we have no hot water.

you need permits for a new one? yipes that's a lot of money. Now i know why I live in the middle of not where

I think you need permits for everything here. We put the one we have now in right after we moved in. It's served us well for nearly 16 years, so I guess we are due. Figures though, the element is gone on the stove, the water heater is shot, the fridge will be next!

yep fridge or dishwasher. I'm figureing I'm on borrowed time with ours. they are all 16 years old. we've already done the lighting element in the gas stove, need a 4th ice maker in the fridge sorry not buying another one. praying everything hangs on till we get around to the addition

Afternoon,

Sorry I have been so hit and miss lately... finally have recovered from the bug I had at the first of December and have been in full cleaning mode, transportation princess, decorating, baking, cooking, wii tournaments.... We have had the best stay-cation for winter break..

Been home with the kids and DH today.. We had to take my van in for a repairs.. have to take care of 2 more issues on it next week.....but they are regular maintenance issues that have been on the list.. just moved up the list... pretty costly fix today that is why I want to wait a week to depart with more money! LOL

Sorry to hear all the New Englanders got hammered... I feel for you... although we haven't had a blizzard from some time... I'm glad everyone finally got snow so those that plow snow for extra income can have that... Hope everyone stays safe and warm. We are supposed to hit near 50 on Friday... but then temps drop again after that.. typical winter for us...

Will start putting items away in the next few days.. however not our trees.. they stay up til the kids return to school. I've been reorganizing the Christmas totes.

I started working on the holiday swap today too... it's going well.
I will run to the post office tomorrow to mail the remainder of the couples swap boxes out....but that is pretty much it on the home front...

Hope everyone is healthy or getting healthy.. Our house still smells like lysol.
