The Daily Grind ~12/24/10~

Seriously? Oh my...Lisa said it best, that "frosts my cookies" (I really LOLed at that one). Do I need to go over there and knock some heads together? As if you *planned* this to get out of going to her house. Pft, shame on her. It's not a time for worrying about people's feelings. Bubba and his health come first. Oh, I'm so angry!

Pam, I was thinking about Z2H today. I can imagine everything is a little "off" without her there. Just a couple more weeks, right? So glad you found Rudolph, and that you got your fudge :lmao:

My house is as clean as it's going to be. I finished wrapping (yay!) this morning and then vacuumed. Morgan has been at my sister's since around 9:30. Not sure when she's coming home or when my mom will be here. :confused3

I think I'll make a cup of tea and eat gingerbread cookies. :santa:

Pam, the thought of the "tooth paste flavored" fudge made me and DH :rotfl:!! Enjoy!!!!:goodvibes I bet it's really hard for ZTH being away from y'all right now.

Well, my oven has been acting up all day.:headache: It started this morning when DS and I were making his batch of cookies. It took 45 minutes to preheat to 350 degrees!!:scared1: The cookies took forever to cook. I don't have a thermometer so I've turned up the heat and winging things. The turkey took an hour longer than it should have. I'm just glad the oven isn't completely dead. I guess it's worn out from my cookie baking marathon yesterday.

I bought Wii Party for us to play today and we've been having lots of fun. DS is too good at it and wins everything. I'm not very skilled at video games (even ones little kids can play) so we've laughed lots at my goofs!

Merry Christmas Eve, everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful holiday.

Lisa - that ornament sounds perfect. You totally made me cry with that story. You and Megan will take strength from each other and get through this.

Holly - I'm so sorry Bubba is still not doing well. Bah humbug to your SIL. The 3 of you will have a special Christmas anyway. I'll send lots of good healing thoughts southward!

I had a good Christmas cry earlier this evening, but I think I finally found my peace for this year and am channelling my loved ones. I found an online station streaming Christmas music heavy on the Andy Williams and Johnny Mathis (Mom's favorites), I had some Polish cookies in honor of my Gram and my seafood risotto for dinner wasn't quite the traditional Italian feast of the seven fishes, but I think Grandpa would approve. Now I'm working on the scrapbook of Grandpa that I'm making for Grandma and waiting for my dear bus driver elf to get home. The malls close at 6, yet he is driving a mall route until 10 pm tonight. Not sure what that's all about. Either he will be driving an empty bus for a few hours or he will come home with some stories.

P and PD to everyone who needs them!

:santa::santa:Just wanted to wish my Dis~family a wonderful Christmas and a happy and healthy new year!:santa::santa:
All of you are very special ladies with a kindness and thoughtfulness that goes beyond words!
Love to all of you!
Merry Christmas!
Rita:santa:
