The Daily Grind ~12/23/10~

Cookies are baked and DS's ornament is finished!!!!! DS loved his ornament. At first, he thought I'd bought it at WDW and said that he hadn't seen that one, only the key chain version of it! He was thrilled that I made it for him

Here's a photo of this year's ornament (the Mickey vinylmation) and all the ones I've made for him. They are in order with the first one being the dragon in 2002. I didn't think to do this for him until he was 10 years old so there are only 9 in the collection so far.

As you can see, in 2007 (the moose with the cardinal on his ear), the stitched ornament got to be a very easy one. That's the year I found the Dis are got very involved in scrapping and swapping and my stitching got pushed to the side. I was stitching that ornament at the last minute that year. The following year, I used my Cricut and made the Philmont one.

I love cardinals too, they are so beautiful. I see them around the property quite a bit. Stephanie, the ornaments are gorgeous. What a nice collection you've made for Andrew.

Deb, Glad the puppy dogs are home where they belong.

The eye is doing much better, although DD's school nurse and director both asked me what was wrong.

My to do:

Started the long weekend early
Wood in the woodstove
Get school presents together and into the car
Write in DD's communication book
DD up and ready for the day.
DH home with a cold. He was up most of the night.
Make DD's lunch
Stop at Dunkin
Pick up MomE and the furbaby
Take DD to the dr
Take DD to school, got her there just before her Christmas school pageant started. Phew
Stop to get food for the furbaby.
Have lunch out
Bring a load of presents from MomE's house to mine. We must have been very good, cuz there are a lot of presents.
Dinner - ham and sweet potatoes
fold a load of laundry
