morning....

well we are home again today. he had a ok day yesterday so lets hope he has another one today. it's been so hard for him. the dr said he should start rounding the corner christmas eve or christmas day.

my plan for today is
COOKIES.... i need 6dz for the cookie swap tonight.
i've got a few things to pick up but can't do that with him soooo.....
make mr.crockett something really yummy for din din...any suggestions??
mail the last of my cards. - i've been so slacking on this one.

i have a zillion other things so i guess i'll make a list on the counter and check off as i go!

Same old, same old around here - chores and scrapping with my iTunes Christmas songs blasting! Laid in wait EARLY this a.m. for the trash collection guys then the recycling team so I could give them their Christmas envelopes this a.m. Got confused and gave the "wrong" envelopes to the wrong guys - but they are all the same gift inside, so no biggie. (Just stupid on my part!) Last envelope left is for the UPS guy later this afternoon...so I can't mess that one up.

Bread maker is chugging away (a butter and egg loaf) for neighbor gift. Today's family activity is "make our Christmas tree cake" so the kids and I will do that after school. Quiche and salad for dinner.

I'm proud of myself that I stayed out of ACM yesterday - so I didn't spend a scrappy penny! It about killed me not to use yesterday's 60% off coupon but didn't NEED anything.

Deb, just a thought, they do hold back a few ressies at Palo's for on board bookings and there is always waitlists as well. Find out on the cruise board where they are holding the on board bookings, usually Rockin Bar D, and once your on board make a beeline for there. We've had to do that before.
But dont give up either!
DIT, missed this, is A playing Edne Turnbaum? What a role!! Have you shopped for him yet? That should be fun and interesting!
Hope all of our little ones are feeling better and looking forward to Santa.

DH's great-aunt passed away last night after a battle with cancer. We don't know about the arrangements, since the holidays are right here. Someone said they may wait until after Christmas. As awful as this is to say (and please don't think I'm selfishly horrible), I hope it's after Sunday so that we can do Christmas with Blythe. We were not close to this aunt--she was great, but I've seen her maybe 3 times since we got married--and I REALLY want to be there for Blythe's Christmas. Ok. There, I said it. Please don't think I'm awful!!

Here's my list for today:

1. Up
2. Caffeinate
3. Breakfast
4. Dust living room--yes, it's been on my list for 3 days. . .can't get it done!
5. Clean kitchen/dining
6. Clean DH's bathroom
7. Lunch
8. Laundry, laundry, laundry
9. Grocery list ready
10. Nap
11. Send boys to grocery store
12. Maybe scrap while they're gone (if I can without messing up my room)
13. Get gift cards wrapped

Brooke, don't feel bad, having Blythe here for Christmas is your families miracle!

Pixie dust to everyone else in need! I talked to my "sissy" last night, she lost her DH in Haiti he was with Jim, we decided that we are going to celebrate our memories of our sweeties and do our dangest not to be sad, I finally found a very special ornament for Megan and I last week, so we will each have one on our trees.

I have a special request, my BFF DH is going for a HUGE job interview tomorrow, he has been out of work for almost 2 years...please say a little prayer for Ed, his last extension ran out on Monday, He is a very talented computer programming wiz, just so over qualified for any job that's out there...hoping for a little Christmas magic to go their way....thanks!

Well my plans for the day are a wash. I actually took today off to spend with DH, but he got the chance to do overtime. 13 hours OT - can't pass that up! I was also supposed to visit my BFF and deliver her kiddos' presents, but I am coming down with a cold so I don't want to bring my germs over there. So I'm trying to figure out what to do with myself. I think I might make a trip up to my favorite LSS (which is thankfully nowhere near any shopping centers) and spend a gift certificate I have - Merry Christmas to me. I may try to scrap but I'm not really feeling motivated. We'll see how the day goes.

Contunied prayers, pixie dust and for all of us.... Seems we all need it one way or another!!

My friend's DD is going in for her biopsy today... Mom is a wreck... as can be expected.. the info they are getting (while I don't have the details because we haven't had time to talk just text) is positive... the biopsy will tell us more....

Yesterday I baked and baked and baked.. I made:
12 trays of chocolate candy molds (shared with 2 of my neighbors; saved some for my eldest to take back to college)
3 dozen snickerdoodles
3 dozen peanut butter/peanut butter kiss cookies
rice crispy treats
reindeer chex mix
regular chex mix
chocolate covered pretzels
tree bark (it's those awesome chocolate & green mints)

We have 3 dozen sugar cookies to roll out/bake and decorate tomorrow...
As of today I am done working for 1.5 weeks... we won't know what to do...

Monday my van goes into the shop...everyone cross your fingers for a reasonable priced fix....

clean up the house
kids MUST clean their rooms tonight or no SANTA here...

Busy day. Was at Kohl's at 7:30 this morning, out of there and at work by 8:30. Lots of work, but because I got it all done today, I get Friday off! Yippeee! Made a few stops on the way home, few places to go tomorrow, and then wrapping.

P & PD for everyone seems like its been a rough week!

Baked cookies with the girls this morning and then took Rachel to the doctor this afternoon. She has bronchitis (again--third time since school started) she is almost always sick for Christmas (poor thing).

My wrapping is finally all finished and I think we'll be able to watch a movie as a family tonight.
