DS got another college acceptance letter on Saturday!!!!! This one is his new top choice and now we just have to wait until he auditions for their BFA program in January to see what happens. This is the college where the theatre director came to DS's school and saw him peform in the play and asked him to apply to the school. She also said it was possible he could get a full scholarship. Well, the admissions department has already offered him a full out-of-state tuition scholarship!!!!!

Today:
Finish up Christmas cards and mail them
Tidy/Clean
Work
bake cookies
Order photos I need for last few gifts that I'm putting together

Have a great day everyone!

Congrats to you and Andrew, Stephanie! That is awesome!!! It is so much better for these kids to be able to get their professional lives off to a start without crushing college debt!

Nothing major here today - poking around the house doing mindless chores with holiday music playing in the background, some bread/roll baking, and will try to get a final scrappy gift a bit more "done."

God bless Amazon.com! DS casually mentioned yesterday afternoon that he just realized that he asked Santa last month for "Volume 5" of some CD/video set he wanted (he only asked Santa for two things), but that he meant to say "Volume 4, but I got confused because that is a 5-CD set..but Santa will know what I really meant." YIKES!!!!!!! Fly off to the computer to order this "right" one, and thanks to Prime, it will (fingers crossed) arrive in time.

To do - in no particular order:

take all kids to the DR and myself (I hope we have all of this done at once)
dishes
laundry
clean clean clean
balance checkbook
pay bills
breakfast

lunch
dinner
attempt to wrap stuff without people seeing. I may have to banish the kids to next door.

Good morning! Just 5 days til Christmas? WOW! I'm on my first official day of Christmas Break--gotta get a LOT done. I felt like I had done a bunch ahead of time. . .not sure where this ginormous list came from! ;)

Stephanie, congratulations to Andrew!! That's awesome!

Please keep my work family in your thoughts and prayers. Yesterday, one of our teachers was found dead--no details as to what happened. She was 40 and a bright, bubbly person. She had had some health issues in the past, but had recently had gastric bypass surgery and was really happy with how everything was going. She has an 8th grade son and a daughter who is a senior in HS. We are all in shock! It's also another reminder to tell those you love how much you love them every chance you get!

Ok, on to a lighter topic. . .

My list for today:

1. Up
2. Caffeinate
3. Empty dishwasher
4. Breakfast for me & DS

5. Laundry, laundry, laundry--running now
6. Clean my bathroom
7. Dust our bedroom
8. Clean kitchen & dining room
9. Finish thank you notes
10. Walmart run
11. Take shirts to cleaners

12. Lunch
13. Nap time
14. Get ready
15. DH, DS, & I to my mom & dad's for dinner--yummy, pizza!

16. Collapse into bed!!

Oh my Brooke. So sad especially so close to the holidays. We will say a prayer for the family and the school.

OMG - Brooke - that is awful. What a shock for her family and friends!

FedEx was just here and dropped off my "sluggy" :snail: Xmas package that had been MIA. (It was supposed to be the LAST thing I was waiting for, but after DS's little announcement yesterday....:rolleyes1) It had a couple of typos in the address label, so I think the poor delivery folks were mega-confused, but they got it here!

Oh, Brooke...My thoughts are with your work family.

Congrats to AndrewNO! Full out-of-state tuition is AWESOME!

Buffy, I hope you're not all sick?

Rebecca, good luck with your housework!

Deb, your countdown is killing me. I have SO much left to do!

Don't you love that Pam? Morgan decided to write a letter to Santa on Saturday (she's shown no interest in "Santa" for a long time), and she put a Wii Fit on the list. Really? A Wii Fit? No, I don't think so, not this year. Luckily, Santa has already taken care of the other things on her list.

Please keep Bubba in your thoughts. I hope I'm not over-sharing, but Holly is on her way to the doctor because they think he has become dehydrated. If so, he may have to spend the night in the hospital to get re-hydrated.

We saw my MIL yesterday. They are unsure of when she may be coming home. She's got a bazillion and one issues going on, and they really need to do some tests before she can go home or wherever they are planning on sending her. I just hope she's home for Christmas.

Dinner? Who knows? I think DH is planning on going to the hospital this afternoon once I get home. It may be a cereal night.

Hugs and pixie dust and extra good thoughts all around!

Let me know as soon as you hear anything!!! I've been thinking about them since you told me.

PD to all in need.....we were hit hard too on Saturday....a wonderful neighbor of my mom's middle son committed suicide Saturday morning, leaving a 17 and 21 year old DD's and DW, family is just reeling and don't know what to do with it being so close to Christmas....so yesterday was a really hard day dealing with us missing Jim and now our friends...

so today just trying to figure out what I need to finish up for Christmas and taking it easy again today! will get little easy stuff accomplished depending on how we are feeling.

prayers and pixie dust to us all who are missing loved one's!

:grouphug:

P&PD for all! Difficult things to cope with any time of the year, and especially difficult now.

That is just wonderful!!! How out of state is this college? Let's just put it this way, if it is in a state where there is a DIS auntie, let us know.:goodvibes

Poor Bubba and Holly.

fever, ear ache, sore throat and pink eye. DD has strep, and ear infection and pink eye so I'm thinking the boys have the same.

DD is still sick? She appeared to be so good last Tuesday when I saw her. We had a feeling that would bounce around the house to the others.

Jennifer, I hope your MIL comes home soon.
Ann, I hope your Dad is on his way home.
PD to all those in need. This is such a difficult time with the pressures of the holidays.

My Monday to do list:

Feed cats
Put wood in the woodstove
Write in DD's communication book
Get DD up and ready for school
Go to the bank

Dinner - chicken chili
Oversee tubby time
