Still just chillin' in my house now that company is gone.
Have to take car to shop for body work being done all week.
Good thing I don't need to go shopping this week. :sad2: What on earth was I thinking? :confused3 Scheduling this done during the busiest month of the year.
DH will meet me and boys at the shop and we will leave the minivan there. Too hard to try to do it tomorrow with the different work and school start schedule.

Laundry will need to be done.
May spend the day doing that. :laundy:  Not

Ummmmm...I'm sure you just *forgot* to include "room cleaning" so your loving and stunning beautiful mother can get to the attic storage areas to start bringing down important Christmas items. I know you will swiftly amend your list to include this! :santa:

By the way, the bacon is ready and if you don't emerge from your room soon, someone else will happily eat your share! I'm just sayin'...

BACON?! bacon bacon bacon bacon Why can't I see the bacon?

Yuuuuummmmm! And it is REALLY good bacon, too. From a PA Farmers/Amish foods Market - brought by FIL last week.... When visiting, he typically brings us about five pounds and it is gone in a flash!!

Too bad computers don't come with "smellavision" - it is smellin' pretty yummy here!

So I'm late jumping in today!!

Z2H--hang in there! You can get through this!!

Here's my list:

1. Up
2. Caffeinate
3. DS breakfast
4. Finish tree decorating

5. WASH LAUNDRY
6. Fold laundry
7. DS lunch
8. Nap with DS
9. DH take IL's to airport
10. P365 pic
11. Work out schedule for this week
12. Get stuff together for week
13. Watch DVR'd show--I'm never going to catch up!
14. Go to sleep sort of early!

I hope everyone has an awesome day!!

you are funny Pam! i love that you chat with ZtH via the dis boards!!!!!

well good afternoon ladies.....

i have been so slacking on my daily grind lists. i MUST keep up with this!

dh is painting the living room today. yes STILL! i have my whole complete curio cabinet belongings on my bed. what the heck do i do with them while we moves my cabinet to paint and rip the carpet up???? they are all so fragile. UGH. i'm trying to clean and catch up on laundry. i usually bring the clothes up from the dryer and fold them on my bed. can't do that! i'm trying to clean my bathroom and throw out all the junk that does not belong in this house!!!!!! all the living room stuff was packed up in boxes the week after ma passed away and now they are piled in the middle of the room on the old furniture. i'm going to have an awesome new room with nothing on the walls and no furniture! i don't know what i want to do with the decorating part. i want to make it all new. maybe i'll store the stuff that was on the walls and go with a new theme. i can't stand the way it looks right now. i want all new furniture, but can't decide on what i want. we went and looked and dh did not like what i picked out.
ok enough ranting!
have a good rest of the afternoon everyone!

What kind of style does your DH like?
I'm really sure we can help you find a compromise that you will both like.

Do you have packing peanuts? You can buy those. Put them in the box, about an inch at first. Put a few figurines in and cover with peanuts. Enough so you can't see them through the holes and then add more figurines and peanuts as the box will hold. Move on to the next box.

We are back from our whirlwind trip to the North Pole! We had a really fun time. Riding the train in our jammies and sipping hot chocolate while singing Christmas carols was a blast! Got to see Santa and his elves and deliver a letter to the NP Post Office.

As much fun as we had, it's nice to be home and I'm really looking forward to sleeping in my own bed. The second room (a condo), was stellar compared to the first, we slept like the dead last night, but still, a strange place so not as well as we will at home.

I'm working on laundry. Vacuumed and changed the beds when we got home, now I have loads and loads of :laundy: to do!

Hope everyone had a great day!

The Pit of Despair is looking so much better thanks to my helpful wonderful boys! They are ruthless, like that guy on clean sweep.

"Mom, will you use this EVER again?"
"Mom, wasn't this Mugga's?"

and

DS21: "Mom, Goodwill or trash?"
Me: "Oh I want to keep that."
DS21: "Mom, GOODWILL OR TRASH!"

Some of the found items that have been missing: my Fastenater and staples, a gift card to Borders $20 :confused3 , lots of beading supplies in a box (woohoo!!), paint and bushes (in another box), card making supplies and envelopes, the boys old report cards and grade school awards in a file, a book that was my mom's copyright 1951 that has her handwriting in it :sad1: That's just to name a few things...

They are so happy to be reclaiming their space. They have BIG plans for that room, including new sofa, new TV, all the game systems down there, an exercise area, and a music area... It's turning into a really nice spot for them :teeth:

Well, back to organizing the scrappy and beady stuffs that we found :teeth:

Doin good I guess, I got my tree up, new photos up, now all I need to do is finish decorating the tree (ran outa steam), hang the lights and hang art LOL.

well we did not go out furniture shopping. dh spent all day painting and i spent all day doing laundry and cleaning the bathroom. i took the whole room apart. i took the shower doors off, the curtains down, the shade off.....right down to nothing. washed that room from top to bottom. for some reason that room ALWAYS gets the dirtiest! i now need to go iron the curtains and put them back up. can i tell you i hate the smell of the mildew cleaning stuff. icky. gives me a headache! but my room is all shiny and clean.

AWM- i'm not sure he has a style!:rotfl: this is the 1st time we have bought new living room furniture since we got married. i want a big oversized stuffy chair with a sofa. he thought the one i picked out was well.....ok. but wants to keep looking. ok honey that's great, but christmas is in oh i don't know 27 days???? might need something before then.

Jennifer-i so can not wait to hear all about your trip to the north pole.

Deb-sounds like you had a good day with your boys.

Hey PO3 - FWIW Bassett furniture is having 25% off sale right now. If you have one near you....

Just sitting here in a slump. Dad just left a little while ago - driving back to Kansas. Now I am sad. Not a great Thanksgiving for me though I do have so much to be thankful for.

Time to dig down deep and find some happiness. The holidays get harder for me the older I get. Why is that??:confused3

UGH not more soul searching...;)

Off to find some joy. My DD2 giggling at the Toy Story 2 movie helps!!
