I need to call and change our Disney reservations. We were getting so close too (only 2 weeks left to go). We were going to go down for DS's birthday weekend and take him out of school for one day so we could have a long weekend. Well, he's got a chorus concert at another school the day after we return and will be out of classes all that day too. I let him make the decision on whether we go for only 2 nights, go for the 3 nights and he miss 2 days back-to-back for school, or wait and go before school starts up after Christmas. He chose waiting and going at the beginning of January since we could go for a longer time and he'd miss no school.

The rest of my day:
DS up and off to school
Clean
Laundry
Bills
Tidy/Organize my scrap room so I can work in there
Work on swaps

Have a great day everyone!

DiT - bummer on having to reschedule! At least you'll have it to look forward to.

Today's list:
DH driving school bus
Get self ready
pack lunches
boys up & ready
Boys to school
Work (I'm still hanging in there; rumor has it a layoff is coming in the next couple of months. If I can wait it out, I may be able to leave at that time and keep someone else from getting laid off)
pick boys up at 3:30
dinner - ? DH will fix
Maybe to go a fall night hike depending on the weather

Have a GREAT Friday everyone!

Steph

Working today. PrincessM has the Monster Bash tonight. Oh my aching ears, I can hear it already, lots of screaming and running around. Better remember to take my meds before we leave.

Tomorrow is a nightmare. Lots to do before we leave for the wedding. FIL is going to pick Princess up at dance and then bring her over to her friend's house to trick or treat. We'll get her on the way home from the wedding. Please think of me fondly...I hope I don't go into a sugar coma - they are having a "Candy Bar" with glass jars full of candy and no real meal - oh, and open bar! :drinking1

Rebecca, DS's 8th grade science class did the YES program at WDW. I was one of the chaperones and it was very well done. The kids really enjoyed it. I don't remember the names of the programs they did, but they really enjoyed the improv one at Epcot (I was at this one and it was fun), the roller coaster one at MK (they loved riding Thunder Mountain with a cup of water), and a science one at Epcot (they built little robots). The only one I know they really really didn't like (I was at this one too and thought it was boring) was one at AK. The best part of that one was riding Dinosaur and Everest at the end!

Jennifer, good luck at the wedding. I hope you have fun.

Rebecca, that's too bad that we'll miss each other at WDW again! DS starts back to school on the 7th so we need to go before then.

I am really just looking at purchasing YES tickets- I know that we have used them in the past with a math team in Labelle- they did their own program- the math team goes to Disney every year and does an event- it changes parks each year but it is a math based hunt- they have to find variables all over the park and plug them into math problems- the winning team gets dinner at a sit down restaurant.

I just need to check and see if we can use the tickets the week of Christmas (when we want to take the kids)- we will be doing our own thing with visitng the Santas around the world and taking about various traditions and evangelism to different groups as well as sensitivity to their traditions. We will end the day going to the Candltlight Processional (not with reserved seating).

Today is BUSY! BUSY! BUSY!

I need to jet out of here and do some shopping before I have to be @ school @ 1:15pm for youngest's FALL Party. We are not allowed to have a Halloween Party.. :( Oh well, most of us moms have worked around it and made the parties a lot more enjoyable for the kids!!

Today is DD's SWEET 16!!

So I am patiently awaiting the appropriate time of her delivery as it is tradition you can NOT turn your new age until that time... I text her at school and 2 of her friends are in her class and one has plans to sing to her at the exact time (teacher permission has already been granted! He is a great kid to call and ask if he could do this for her! hmm, budding romance???)

Today:

pick up kdg. student
town for errands
DH and FIL moving some electical to finish off my Dining room/kitchen by the week before thanksgiving
lunch
school
whatever can get done..

OH! Last night DD had her awards for XC... She received her 2nd VARSITY letter..and she was awarded the GIRLS MENTAL ATTITUDE AWARD!!!! She had no clue..

Ok, off to get N from school and go run errands...

Have a great day everyone, I'll check in later!!

OH, crush! We have safe trick -or- treat tonight... Charge batteries for camera as DsS18 and DD are both working and youngest still wants to go this year... I think he likes to go to see all the older kids dressed up! LOL
