Hey, I just noticed....this is my 500th post (under this name, anyway!!!!)



And still waiting for a visit from the Tag Fairy...!

I must be too boring for a visit! I'll have to get more creative, I guess!!!

Who else do you post as? I have nearly 3,000 and the tag fairy hasn't visited me yet either

Sorry to be SO late to the party today, folks! Today was busy but only a few things were on the list:

Call neurologist to find out CT results (she called back promptly to say "normal" - whew!)
Go with DH to get "now our only" car inspected (passed - whew!)
Go with DH for DS annual neuropsych exam - the hours long first half of it, anyway...read/finished book group book while he was being tested
Come home and promptly conk out on the sofa
Wake up, post here...
Vacuum seal and freeze the meats we bought yesterday - dinners for the next ten days or more
Toss ingredients for pizza crust into the bread machine
Go to book group tonight - DH feeds the kids and I get a night out with the girls
Come home and ooohhhh and aahhhhh over our brand-new Mac computer which is arriving tonight! (The local Apple store spent yesterday and this a.m. moving all our info off of the old machine and onto the new one - sweet!)
Meds and bed!

Yay! Glad to hear the results are "normal"

Oh Ann, I keep forgetting to tell you - I have been using that Gingerbread Hot Cocoa as my sugar in the morning and making a "mocha". OMG, it's to DIE for! Thank you again!

They are saying don't participate in Swine Flu Parties but are forcing kiddos to go to school which is just one huge germ festival every day.

Isn't that the truth!!

As for the Tamiflu...my !@#$%^ insurance co will prob say I can't get it...they have been terrible!! Like I got a brand spankin new script for symbicort, and they need prior authorization. So I ask ya, how can my doc PRIOR authorize a brrand new script? It just chaps my hiney every time!!

I really hate insurance. I totally get it that they are in it for the money, but what the heck?

I don't think government healthcare is the way to go, I think readjusting the doctor/lab/surgery fees is the way to go. Do away with insurance. Make the payments reasonable so that we can afford it the way it is. Continue to allow us to put money in medical accounts tax free from our paychecks. Let me be the Medical Czar. I can do it so it as fair as possible. Vote for me in November.

Got a sick kiddo home today.
Poor Little Bit. Had a fever of 102.8 yesterday. He is still sleeping right now.
If it is the Swine, I'm hoping that the shots he got will keep the symptoms and duration to a minimum. They don't test in Ohio, so I will never know.

Poor kid. I hope he continues to get better.

Monday, eh, my favorite day of the week.

My to do list:

The house is 74 degrees so I think I can pass on stuffing more wood into the woodstove.
Put a load of laundry in the wash
Put a load into the dryer
Get DD up and ready for school
Caffeinate
Work
Call Mom
Dinner - steak and corn
Bed early
Get DD up and ready for school

The hot chocolate game in a gift pack that my DH picked up at Sam's last year. I have no idea if they will have it again this year. But if they do, I'll be sure to tell you all.
