Dateline - Old Key West

Since the last deluge early in the week, the weather has been glorious - sunny, not too hot, and low humidity. Sadly, today is the last day before we start home. Despite the fact this is about my 50th trip in 10 years AND I have the PC cruise to look forward to - I am REALLY bummed to be leaving. DH is already looking forward to being home, whilst I am clinging to here like the grim death.

Yesterday, we spent the day eating way too much in EPCOT. It was soft opening for food and wine fest and I'll tell you the offerings are Yummy. Highlights were souvlaki chicken in Greece, lobster pie in Ireland, and an absolutely authentic Nurnberger wurst in Germany. By night time, though, the crowds (and the drunks) were out in force, so we fled.

Linda, enjoy your last WDW day. I know exactly what you mean about leaving there to go home. It's so hard!

I have 2 people signed up to take my scrapbooking class at Michaels!!!!!! Finally someone signed up. We've had lots of interest in it, but no takers until now. The class starts tomorrow so today I will be making sure I've got everything ready. I'm really looking forward to this!!

older kids up
straighten DD's hair..she is Cleopatra tonight for the parade
grocery
get face paint for DS9 (older kids too after the parade)
work on swap items if I can
pick up elem kids
homework
snack
get DS9 ready for parade (candy, warm extra clothes)
DD home make sure she has everything ready to go back to school for pep rally and figure out if I need to drop her and DS14 off to the homecoming start site or they have rides (they are so last minute, unlike their mom)
DD back to school
???? run to school and grab kids to take them to homecoming start???? by 415pm
DS9 to elem school to meet his football team/float @ 4:35pm
run back home & get stuff for tailgating/warm clothes/CAMERA
DH and I walk up to parade route (1 block away!)

I'm at work. It's supposed to rain a lot here today, I'm tired of the gray. Morgan has "Kids Night Out" at school tonight from 6:30-8:30. She is car-pooling with a friend, so they will know someone when they get there.

I finally got all the t-shirts stitched for our Mickey tie-dying. I think we are going to work on that tomorrow afternoon. I also have to cut some iron on vinyl for our pirate shirts at some point.

I hope everyone is feeling well, and stays safe and dry!

Quick stop in-crazy busy day today....just had to share....I just paid off our Disney trip! 48 more days!!

Laundry is in the washer and dishes are in the dishwasher. DS and I got through his "school stuff" before nap so that was great. (We did arylic painting today and he painted a fish thatloks amazing!)

I need to figure out dinner and hope that the blue skies hold out. We are headed to the observatory tonight! I am so excited, I hope we get to see some neat things!

Dusting for all

DH took the day off & we went for a drive in the mountains (so pretty ) We had lunch at a hotdog stand called Coney Island (it's shaped like a giant hotdog).

Busy weekend ahead--DD1 has a marching band competition all day Saturday!

Another grey and depressing day here. I definitely picked a dud of a week weather wise to have vacation. But today's the start of my favorite month - you can't beat fall in New England.

Low key day today. I went to lunch with my Dad and we got caught up on Mad Men episodes. (He doesn't have cable, so he watches here with me.)

Linda - thanks for the F&W teaser report. I'll be there in just 30 more days!!

It's just plain miserable here in Massachusetts. It's been raining off and on all week. Not soaking, pouring rain, but stupid icky showers off and on all day. *Supposed* to be decent tomorrow. I hope so, because I want to tie dye outside!
