Our meetings are horrible. I don't know what it is, but someone will go off on a tangent and 45 minutes later, we still haven't gotten to the next item on the agenda. It.makes.me.crazy.

You must have been sitting in on one of our girl scout leader meetings. Seriously, make an agenda and stick to it!

This must be a scout thing! Our cub scout leader meetings are the same way. I started telling them they have my attention for 2 hours. At the end of the 2 hours I get up, pack up my stuff and leave. Has kept them moving somewhat considering we are the family that has been involvel the longest and knows the most about how things work. Seriously....how hard is it to pick a menu for blue & gold? Or decide which state park to camp at this year? Just make a decision!

My husband laughs every time he hears me say "We have talked this to death. Let's make a decision." It happens serveral times a meeting.

I cannot tell you the conversations we had about Encampment. If you have a question about Encampment, go to the Encampment meetings. THIS IS AN OVERVIEW! Right now we're starting cookies. It's going to be 45 minutes about cookie booths, I know it.

Jennifer, that is exactly the issue we have. What is supposed to be an overview ends up a full blown discussion about the whole blasted thing! It makes for ridiculously long meetings! Julia was fresh the other day and come out with "Silence is golden, Duct tape is silver" I couldn't help but crack up.
