The Daily Grind ~ 1/6/15

Well, it's morning! We got our snow in last night.. Haven't heard amounts yet.. but no delays for our schools. Which I had suspected all last night and told DS14 that. Maybe with wind chills tomorrow about -30 they'll consider it but not holding my breath!

Ok, so report in.. seems we just got about 3".. so the path of this storm shifted while it was moving across the state.

Prayers and to all those in need. Please be safe if you are dealing with these winter weather and this horrible wind chills.

Today's agenda:

make lunches x 2
once over house
clean kitchen & dining room (sweep and mop)
DS14 up for school
walk .25 miles on incline treadmill
make sure DS14 is up
edit DS14's paper; make sure he added what needed to be added
DS14 to school
walk 5 miles --- starting my virtual walk to MK
pay bills
scrap
pick up DS14
homework
dinner
load and run dishwasher
pull sketches for Dec '14 Disney trip (AK & select photos)

Going to a funeral today - DH's cousin and his wife just lost their second (and last) child. 4 years ago the oldest died at 45 and this past weekend the youngest died and she was 45 - my heart breaks for them - what do we even say to them??

It's cold here in west Michigan, too. Not as much snow as I thought we would get. DS commutes to college so I am glad.

Glad to hear everyone is safe from the storm. Be careful out there! I won't tell you that at 7:46AM it's a little overcast and 72 here -

Morning chores
Wipe down guest bath
Vacuum and mop downstairs floors
Clean cat food dishes
Walk
Run a couple errands
Scrap a few pages
Spinach and Feta Turkey Burgers for dinner

Nan - Glad to hear the storm wasn't too bad. I saw on the Today Show this morning that it is gonna being really chilly tomorrow everywhere up north - stay warm!!

Chae - So sorry to hear about your DH's cousin losing another child, I can't even imagine what that is like. Hugs to you all!

Becky --- get the guest room ready.. I'm moving in!!!!

Roads were not that bad until you got to the entry of the school. Seriously... this is a major entry point..yes it is on a road going into the country but it's the school!!! Good thing B and I have a game plan for winter picks ups... The school sits in such a way that during the winter the front parking lot/drop off-pick up point that it does not get sun on it..so it gets icy.

We got about 3" I would say but it was fluffy and easy to shovel and remove from the cars.


Ok, I just heard from DH that he is safely and work so I'm going to relax for about 30 mins and then go scrapbook. While I relax, I am going to look for my svg files to cut for my school photos I want to work on today.


Chae- I am so sorry.. I don't think there are any words that can express the feelings they must be going through. I could not imagine...

WDWMom -- glad it was not bad for DS commute to college. I always worry about my kids driving even when they are in college. That is why we sent DD home yesterday to avoid this mess. Her college got absolutely nothing!
