The Daily Grind ~1/4/11~

Got a text from DS22 that he arrived safely. It was 1130p their time. He had been on the plane for like 13hrs.

Yesterday DH and I decided to stay an extra day at Disney, and go to the Polynesian Luau. We will be moving from a 2br to a studio when the kids leave....nice....

I wanted to move to the Contemporary, but they didn't have the studio. So, I kept the Savanah view at AKV.... Soooo excited!


My list for today:

Caffeinate...This repeats everyday

Good morning! Yay for "Not Monday"! I am sooooo sleepy--I think the hour of sleep from Sunday night is now catching up with me. May have to go to sleep at 5 tonight to catch up. Yeah, right.

Just because I always have a countdown going. . .9 working days until the long weekend!

Deb, glad DS made it safely! On another note, you are going to LOVE Kidani!!

Stitch name on shirt for DS's part in the one act they are taking to Districts - they leave on Thursday

Changing beds and doing laundry and stuff. I have to get to the wholesale club, and I have girl scouts this afternoon. I've got to make some templates for cutting fabric for our reusable snack bags. The girls are making these to sell and then our income will go to the food pantry.

I would rather sit on the couch and read, I've got the last of the Millennium trilogy.

Deb- If you are staying in the same type of room and moving from 2-bedroom(if it is a lock-off) to studio you can ask to stay in the studio side of your room and most of the time they can accomidate you- it is only a request but you could do it if you wanted.

Yes, we are making cloth "baggies" with a rip stop nylon lining. We're making two sizes, a sandwich size and a snack size. We got a TON of fabric donated, but have to buy the nylon and Velcro. I don't know what our costs are going to be, but I guess it's all about the process and doing something for the community. We've had a bazillion discussions about cost and income, but we can't seem to come to a consensus about it. We'll get there!

Deb - Glad DS made it safely! And yay for the extra Disney day! We're doing the luau too at the end of this month (weather permitting!) I'm excited to do it. (since it will probably be a loooong time before we ever get to Hawaii, this'll be like a little taste of it!)

Super long To-Do list today that I won't bother typing out. Tonight we're going out to dinner and a movie to celebrate DsD's 22nd birthday! Can't believe she's 22 - she'll always be a "kid" to us though!

I'm very very excited - last night I was rechecking prices for our trip at the end of the month - I saved $70 on the car rental by rebooking, and even better, our airfare dropped by $220!!! That means I have that much in credit towards a future flight. Hmmm... where to jet off to next? And I realized after I get credit for this trip, I will have enough "frequent flyer" points to actually get something with them. I Jet Blue!!

well my day changed, Megan stayed home not feeling well, but then fessed up that she's missing Daddy, I sent an email to her school to discuss what we should/should not due concerning school the next few days as I feel more of these days will be occurring.

So we spent some time this morning looking through our boxes of what we saved of Jim's and that is making us feel better. Think we will order pizza for lunch too ...our feel better food!

so I spent 2 hours on the phone with the reporter, she is so sweet and did an amazing job on the previous stories, she said that there will be lots of stories being posted so check them out on line or get the USA Today starting on Friday is the date they are hoping to start publishing the stories.
