Go Nan!! 1/2 the house! I don't have it in me today. Gonna start up with FlyLady and BabySteps me think.

Mommy2mrb - our cruise was awesome. We passed by Haiti on a sea day. I took a picture for you and said a prayer for DH. Then I went up on deck and saw Goofy! So I figured that was a good sign!

Oh thank you...that is too sweet of you....that was a good sign, he was our Goofy Man....PM'd you my address!!!

Oh, what a day! Toilet at work was acting up - the lines were frozen and so it overflowed...wonderful! Then, when I went to use the other bathroom, the landlord hadn't closed the door all the way and I walked in on him! Wheeeeee! That's just the way it was going today! Needless to say, I didn't drink a drop after lunch today.

DH has a cold, it was -4 when I started my car this morning, and I heard something about more stupid sn@w this week.

We experienced a balmy five below this morning, brr, brr, brr brr brr. How many more days till I hit the warmth of FL?

My to do list:

Feed cats
Call pharmacy for prescription reorder
Load of darks in the wash
Write in DD's communication book
DD up and ready for school
work
caffeinate
find out where rest of the staff is. Turns out three of our staff of five are out sick. Whatevah it is, I bettah not get it!
Stop at pharmacy
write up class presentation and email
speak to bride one more time before I order paper
speak to LSS regarding getting a large quantity of a specific paper
send reminder crop email out

Court was long, but worked out in my favor. Loser got nothing but his behind handed to him. 5 hours later we were outta there.

Yes! Tell me about it the last 12 days were so stressful. I thought I was going to lose it when MY grandmother showed up on his side today. But it all went well. He couldn't even look at me on the way out because it ALL went in my favor.

Nope. Judge told her so. Little backstory DD#1 is 10, said father disappeared 8 years ago. Said gma contacted said father few months back because she was mad at me and DD because she didn't want to visit and i wouldnt make her . The ex takes the others there to visit. So this was her way of forcing the issue. I was one of like 4 of her children and grand children that still have contact with her. now its down to about 1. She also meddled in my divorce which was not her place as well.

Im not sure which was better the look on her face when the judge said she had no right to meddle or his gf running out crying because they didnt get anything. when the judge asked about his absence he said "time just slipped by" It was classic. DD will now have a choice as to what she wants to do. thats all i really wanted.

Trust me she is. I was holding out because she is old and crazy. But after this stunt and she was invited into my moms home to do cookies with my girls at christmas time already knowing about this brewing in the background.

Now i have to stop contact with the little girls. the ex wont listen to me so I will have to get a restraining order.

Judge said "really? i have people in here that havent seen their children in 2 weeks. and you waited 8 years?"

He is also supposed to provide me with updated w2s and paystubs so the child support can be modified.

I love it when the good guys win.

MY BFF moved to Montana when she married a guy in the Air Force. She convinced the ex to let her take the girls by waving the $5000 in back child support he owed. I was happy she got what she wanted but I was mad that it was really just about the money to him.

Its sad but it usually comes down to money. I didnt address the CS issue, the judge asked. and I said I was here to discuss visitation and that Child Support can be addressed later. i think he was a little shocked said father tried to say that he has always paid and was just a little behind once or twice. i said explain the warrant out for you in 2007 for non-payment.

Does he not get that fact that it doesn't hurt you? It only hurts the girls?

BFF's ex doesn't get that either. All he's done is hurt the girls and alienate them, the 10 year old doesn't want to even see or speak to him when he calls.

Sorry you've had to deal with all that stuff, JLD. As the child of divorce, I know how hard it is on the kids. I'm glad DD is able to choose whether or not to go visit her dad.

Rachal, sorry you and the girls have had to go through all of this
hope the judge will continue to support your side!
a friend of mine ex was the same (he actually cheated on her while she was preggers) he took her to court every chance he could to reduce his support, the DD has nothing to do with him now that she is over 18, he's not even helping with college, they both just wanted him out of their lives for good.

Bamb, He doesnt care. I think honestly he wanted child support to be reduced, and DD to be a babysitter to the gf's 2 yr old son. and it very much backfired.

DD is not thrilled with the counseling, she just wanted him to go away. She doesnt do change so well. But with the counselor she will have a voice, she wont have to do anything she doesn't want. She wont even have to go to unsupervised visits until shes ready. And the kicker is if she decides to stop contact with him, I wont be held accountable for it (due to the 8 year hiatus) and he will still have to pay support.

My next issue will be getting her passport so we can go on a Disney Cruise!
