It's Hump Day!!

I drove home last night in the worst of the storm. It was brutal! There were no plows running The roads were untreated. It's not like they didn't know this was coming I just don't get it!

My list for today:

Caffeinate...This repeats everyday

Feed Pups

DIS/FB

Swish, Swipe, Swiffer

MAYBE DH pick up my car at the dealership. They messed something up, so I still have the loaner. Not sure what the day will bring...

Keep crocheting the shawl

Pack a dinner

well hello s**w there is now 6" that's 2 and hour

so no extra kids their dad decided to stay home he commutes and hour to the south so it would have been nasty. Told him I'm here if he needs me.

so today will be a catch up on chores day and hang out day gotta visit with my wii. Hopefully I'll find some time to scrap gotta finish the cards on my desk.

My no work Wednesday to do:

Put wood in the woodstove
Check outside. There was no sn@w when I went to sleep at midnight but 12" of the newly driven white stuff and still coming.
Check Panama Canal web cam periodically to watch the progress of the Wonder thru the locks. I am able to print pictures. MomE, Linda, and Tinkryanmom are going to want those for their scrapbooks.
Feed puddy cats
Take furbaby out time to time to sn@w snorkle. That dawg loves tunnel thru the sn@w with her nose.
Scrap
Do a load of laundry or two.
no snowblowing or shoveling until this blizzard ends. Right now it is lightly coming down but the second band of heavy stuff is supposed to hit in about a half hour.

Got up shortly after my early post and looked out, the ground was covered. We've got a whole bunch out there. Cats are not thrilled, the screens are all icy and they can't see out

Feeling a bit better. Trying to keep down some tea. Morgan is much much better.

Tom is out plowing and reporting AWFUL conditions here. there are times he can't see 10' off the front of the plow. that's not happy when you're plowing driveways and cars are parked where ever the homeowner decided was conveinent for them, like the middle of a driveway and calls me to wonder why he didn't plow infront of her car. UMMMM mamm your driveway is 10' wide your car takes up 5-6' of that and the plow is 9' wide how would you like him to get in front of your car? That truely happened

Good morning! Another snow day for us--snow continues to fall here, and DH actually called from work and said, "the roads are AWFUL". That's monumental for him!!

The sn*w is so pretty! We got about 7". Figures I was driving in the last big band. DH has gone to pick up my car, so my fun w/4WD is over. But it was a nice car in the blizzard last night for sure!

So exciting about Linda, TRM, and MomE! Hope they are having a great time!!

Well, my Dad was about 30 minutes late coming in.. He need a stiff drink so we had to stop and grab him one... Poor guy had been on the planes since 4pm... didn't land in Indy til 9:30pm.. (layover in Detroit ended up w/ both flights landing about the same time and a nice jog to the far end of the same terminal to catch the connecting flight and he said it was a bumpy ride all the way home.. )

Phone wakes us up to let us know we had a 2 hour delay.. Yay! But I got up and got DH out the door and chatted more with my dad. DH said the roads were not too bad but north/south roads were drifting shut.... He said it's a good thing we live in town...

Got elem kid up and movin'...
scraped all 3 vehicles here.. My Dad's so he didn't have to, mine because I had to move it for Dad to get out, and heck, why not DD's since I'm already out there! Overall wasn't bad considering I had scraped them all yesterday evening..

Dad off to head home (been about 1.5 hrs.. should hopefully hear from him he's home in the next hour... giving him extra time w/ the nasty roads). Took 3 hours to get to his house..but he is safely home w/ a stiff drink!!

I kept losing connection too. Perhaps too much traffic on the web cam. Deb, do you have a link to Verandahman's thread? It looks like his pics had better pixels than mine.

Didn't get much scrapping done. It took Dh double the time it normally takes to do the driveway and DD is going thru a be with me stage. I did the stair master program going up and down to her bedroom.

DH doesn't have work tomorrow, he was already notified. I am crossing my fingers that I will hear something soon. Right about now, we've got about 28". While I was printing pictures of the Wonder, I was taking pictures of the dawg sn@w snorkling so MomE can see all the white stuff we had while she was transitioning the canal.
