Megan, are you Catholic?
Kayla, how different from the books are the movies? You can give spoilers, I don't care.
Eh, like I said I haven't read them in a long time. But I think the major changes are covered pretty well. I think it was just that they didn't want to introduce new characters and I think the movie did well with all the changes.
Okay, spoilers below for anyone who hasn't seen the movie/read the books!
These are all the differences, what happens in the book:
Well the professor at CERN that was murdered was Vittoria's father. He adopted her. They didn't talk about that at all in the movie. At the end when they go up in the helicopter, Robert Langdon actually goes with Camerlengo and they both jump out of the helicopter.
I looked the rest up because I don't remember much.
In the book CERN isn't aware of the anti-matter project, just Vittoria and her father know. In the book Vittoria didn't find Leonardo, someone else did and told her about him and the stolen antimatter. Langdon actually visited CERN and met with Vittoria before heading to the Vatican.
All four preferiti die and the cardinal that leads the election is the new pope. Vittoria is kidnapped. They cut out a whole character who initially was the CERN director who was suppose to be behind it all, but instead put in the Swiss Guard guy. When this other guy dies, he gives langdon a video tape, instead the swiss guard man has a key in his hand.
The Camerlengo burns himself in front of the crowd. From wikipedia: The pope reveals that his support is due to science having given him a son. Without waiting to hear the explanation (that the child was the result of artificial insemination), and horrified that the pope appeared to have broken his vow of chastity, the camerlengo plots to "rectify" the situation. He poisoned the pope.
And I think there was something different about the last brand too.
As for The Da Vinci Code, google. It's been so long, I guess I know what books I'll be reading over the summer!
