We are in Disney-
4 of us- Riverside - 6 nights with park hoppers and free dining - about 3500 booked Aug 2016 for 2017.
Next year- 4 of us- Riverside- 6 nights with park hoppers and free Quick service dining 4400
So it went up by $1000 and no restaurants anymore.
I was told it only included Royal rooms

So we are leaving and didn't book the bounce back. To go up so much and get less - we are going to explore new places.
I'm sad because I loved our Disney trips- but it's priced us out.

Our offer was for this coming October and December dates. Crazy. How about you give me time to recover from the trip I just took. Was really hoping for a year out.

If you booked last year's bb in a standard or garden room, you'll notice a huge price increase due to needing a royal room. Why not book a value resort like Pop next year. You'll save a ton of money over a royal room. Or consider booking a standard at a deluxe (if there is availability) to get TS restaurants.

Discounts are getting fewer and far between.

And if you happen to land a discount for your stay the savings seem to be less than impressive.

We will be skipping next year for the first time in 11 years - WDW is simply getting too pricey, especially with the exchange rates for us Canucks these days.

Definitely don't NEED a royal room. We like the alligator rooms close to west stop better, but she said only royal rooms were available. We could go to budget, but each year it's gone a little higher- this year- it's a huge increase. As above we then have to exchange it to Canadian. In 2010 it was par and cost us $1500. (Kids went above 3) Now we pay $3500 plus the exchange plus the air fare. To add $1000 American and take away the restaurants! I've finally reached my limit.
It will be good to take the kids to different places- but with my ds allergies - Disney gives us such piece of mind!

We booked the bounceback when we were there at POR in mid August. I was told they only had riverview available or king rooms.. when I called again, the cm said they will continue to release more rooms so to book something and continue to call when we get home to change it. I booked Coronado and the price was 4500.00 for 9 nights 5 day hoppers for 4 adults.

Free Dining isnt FREE. When you add in FULL price for room and requirement to purchase Park Hoppers.

Why not skip the free dining use a room discount and stick to 1 park per day.

I had it booked myself and decided the savings on the room 25% was a better value.

Last year when I booked the BB we wanted to stay BC. They on my had deluxe CL rooms available. For 10,000. They told me to book it to hold the BB and to keep checking back as rooms may open up. I kept calling and nothing was available. Eventually a room I wanted did open up. Call the bounce back number, not the regular reservations number. That's where I had the best luck.

Your right!! You have to do the calculations! When I factor in the probable room discount, we still are ahead by 500.00 with free dining.. but if you have to get a special room view or location then it would take away from any savings . Didn't make sense to get a riverview upgrade for 700 to get free dining!

You really have to do the calculations. People staying at a value resort are hard pressed to find a better deal.

Yep, the numbers really have to be ran to find savings out of Free Dining now. We got it a few time when it first started. Boy, what a deal that was back in '05-'07.

How do you find out about these bounce back offers?
You have to be checked in to a WDW resort and use the BB before you check out. It is in the pamphlet, that is rarely left in the room by mousekeeping, but you can also call X-8844 to get the offer. I usually track a pamphlet down from mousekeeping, it's just easier to have it in front of me. BTW for some dumb reason WDW does not have the pamphlets available at the front desk:(

How do you find out about these bounce back offers?

Someone will usually post them here in the Resorts forum (or more likely in the Discount Codes subforum above). If you check you can see what the current free dining bounce back offer is, sometime in October it should change to discounts for 2018. I like to know what the BB offer is before I go to WDW, so I can plan what I want to book while I am there.

The Royal rooms must be all that are left for your dates. They aren't all that's included for the length of the offer.
Availability jumps atoms a lot. They are harder to book. We always find the regular room only discounts a much better deal
