Hi! My husband and I were thinking about making a reservation at the crystal palace for the breakfast buffet..and then I noticed the price! Haha is the breakfast buffet worth the price?

That depends why you want to eat at Crystal Palace. If you want a character experience along with your breakfast and early admission to the park, then I would say yes it is. If you're just looking for a breakfast then a better value would be a resort restaurant. Years ago when I could eat like a horse I would eat there and get my money's worth. Today, being older, eating isn't a marathon sport for me, so Crystal Palace isn't worth it.

Don't laugh, those prices are throughout WDW. :scared1:

Everything is that expensive. Unless you go off property you are looking at those prices.

As to character buffets, they don't just count the food in the price. They count the interaction of the characters coming to your table. That increases the price too.

I have heard it is one of the better buffets in WDW. We usually go for dinner, haven't done brkfst yet.

Have a good trip!!

While I like the food at CP breakfast, I wouldnt pay the price if it didnt have characters. I love Eeyore, so we have breakfast here every trip.

If you like Pooh and Friends than splurge, if not... you can find a less expensive place.

thanks for the advice! I think we'll skip the breakfast buffet! We probably don't want to go on the rides after with a belly so full anyway !!

IF I can get a reservation right before the breakfast closing time, I go for it. After making rope drop (hopefully EMH AM) we are ready to rest our feet but don't want to break the magic by leaving the park. Breakfast is the best pricing and I love the character interaction here.

If you want something more affordable for lunch or dinner, try the Plaza. We had the dinner special of meatloaf one night and trust me, one order is more than enough for two people!!!! It was two HUGE slices of meatloaf!!

No characters and one of the quiet restaurants at MK.

We have resies for 10:20 on a early day ( entrance at 8 am). Figure we will be hungry and ready for a rest and this way we should be able to get the breakfast and lunch variety at the buffet. I think CP and H&V are the only ones that have lunch buffets that overlap. Also got a resie for CP at 8:05 when the park doesnt open until 9. Looks like we probably will go there twice!!! Unless I revamped our plans again but, I think I'm pretty set where we are at (after a week and reconstructing)

For a bit more reasonable priced buffet character breakfast check out Cape May at the Beach Club. The food is excellent - they have Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Chip & Dale as chatracters..it tends to be a little less crazed then othe breakfast character meals and I believe it it one of the lesser priced ones.

If you're not staying at one of the nearby resorts (BW, YC, Swan or Dolphin) an easy way to get there is take bus to DHS then boat from DHS to BC. If you go to EPCOT you will have to walk through all of ECPT to get to international gateway (by France) to then walk or take boat to BC.

There are also cabs.

CP breakfast is $22.99.....Cape May is $26.99 according to allears.net.
We love Ohana for a breakfast. It is $20.99 and is served family style, so it is brought out to your table, all you want to eat. The food is yummy and you also get characters....Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto.
We are trying CP on our next trip as our youngest is a HUGE Piglet and Pooh fan, but will probably go back to Ohanas starting with the next trip:thumbsup2

We love CP breakfast buffet, while a bit pricey it is a must do for us every trip. They have a few items that you don't find at the other buffets....like the puffed french toast that I LOVE...and the character interactions are always great IMO

Definitely worth the price if you want the character experience. If not the food is good, but not worth the extra expense in my opinion. Go to a Golden Corral instead!

We're headed to CP/Dinner for the first time. Does anyone have details on the dinner food? Thanks!

Can someone confirm the cost of breakfast and lunch at CP for me? I saw this same pricing of $22.99 on allears, but the Disney ADR site says "Price:
$$$ ($36 to $59.99 per person)." I really don't want to pay $36 for lunch. I was hoping that someone who has been there recently can tell me what the current price is. TIA!

We just ate there a week and a half ago for the first time and enjoyed it and enjoyed the food. Also it was $26.99 each for our breakfast for the adults.

NO!! and were on free dining plan and won't go back so many things were cold some foods were so watery was same at Chef Mickeys and it used to be so good. Tusker House in AK and Hollywood and Vine in HS both good. But if you want to eat with Mickey that is Chef Mickeys... Pooh and friends are at CP:surfweb: there is not any characters but Kona's at the Poly is wonderful breakfast and O'Hana's is good and does have things for the kids to do at breakfast.another is Whispering Canyons in WL can order family style or just off the menu and is very good prices and we have always had good food there for breakfast or dinner.....

Has anyone ever eaten LUNCH at CP? I've seen the menu at AllEars, but was wondering if anyone's had first-hand experience with it?

We're also going to celebrate my son's 7th birthday; that shouldn't be a problem for the cast members, correct? What does a birthday kid (or adult) get at CP--if anything?
