The future of Disney theme park strategy....

We make resort reservations months in advance, ADR’s 6 months in advance, FP+ 60 days in advance, and now even reservations for the stand-by line (SB+). While taking a step back to ensure every part of my upcoming trip was pre-scheduled and set in stone, it occurred to me…..I had no idea when I was supposed/allowed to use the restrooms; I did not have them built into my schedule!!

Well, never fear, RR+ is here! That’s right, with the creation of Rest Room+, you and your family can now schedule and maximize your potty breaks. With the use of your MDE account, you will be able to pre-schedule up to 3 potty breaks in the restroom of your choice (as long as there is availability). Don’t worry, after you’ve used your first three, you can find the nearest kiosk and schedule your 4th. All you have to do is find the restroom location you've pre-scheduled, walk past the stand-by line (don't pay any attention to the lazy guests who weren't smart enough to schedule their RR+ experiences 60 days in advance), scan your MB on the stall door, and it's all yours for 15 minutes. You can even schedule an experience for yourself and copy it to everyone in your party! Work with me here people, this is not complicated.

That’s right, you will now have the ability to schedule your potty breaks 60 days in advance (only 30 days in advance for those guests staying off-site, sorry. And for you day-trip people, well your “crap” out of luck, lol). I know as this system morphs, we will have many threads on tips to maximize your experience, but here are few things to think about until that happens:

1. You may want to think about scheduling your RR+ experiences early in the morning before others get the benefit of enjoying their experiences first. This will also help if you’re having an “off” day and need to schedule that 4th RR+ later on in the day.

2. I suggest getting online at 1:00 AM 60 days out, so that you can assure yourself the best experiences are available. We’ve had reports of CRT (yes, Cinderella’s Royal Throne) being out of RR+ by 1:05 AM. The pre-park opening RR+ are gone almost instantaneously. People are reporting getting one of the coveted SB+ tickets to return at a later time, but do you really think you can “hold it” that long?

3. If you’re not a morning person, you may want to think about scheduling these around your lunch. Maybe you’re fearful of that taco salad you’ll be eating at Peco’s Bills may stage a coo an hour after consumption. If you think this might happen, you could schedule a RR+ near the restaurant, or it’s possible you may have already made your way to Tomorrow Land, so you should schedule the RR+ for over there. I suggest just getting one scheduled somewhere so you don’t miss out; you can go into your MDE to search for better times as your trip nears.

4. In order to maximize your experiences, you should really schedule your RR+ around going #2 versus #1. For instance, I really don’t think it would be fair to other guests if you hog up a spot just to go #1 at CRT or even on the Beast’s personal throne in BoG. As a courtesy to other guests, these spots should be selected for those going #2 please. Keep in mind, your ride experience will be limited to 15 minutes, so if you’re a multi-tasking type person, such as myself, you’ll have to act quick!

There are endless possibilities here people. Come on Disney, I know you read these threads…please make this happen. I just won’t be able to make it through my day unless everything, and I mean everything, is planned out months in advance!!

More to come..........

:lmao::rotfl2: Have been waiting for this!

Awesome, clever post! :lmao: and, yeah... it actually feels like this may be the next 'enhancement' coming our way, now that we're being forced to (or, to put it more mildly, strongly urged to) pre-program every minute of our Disney vacation weeks ahead of time! Spontaneity? what's that? :confused3

:rotfl2:

Uh...I actually scheduled a few bathroom breaks in there this time. Does that mean I can get royalty money for this idea?

I seriously think Disney may already have this in the works, so I think we're both out of luck. Oh well, at least we will be able to choose our RR+ experience and have our whole day planned for us!!

OP, I hope you can help with a question. When I tried to schedule my RR+s the app only gave me 3 times that totally don't work for me or for the way I work. Do I have to keep going back in and editting all of those RR+ times until I can get to go when I want to go?? Honestly, this whole thing is annoying the crap out of me.

The RR+ system should not be annoying the "crap" out of you. You're just not up to speed yet and don't realize how much of a positive thing it is for you to schedule your RR+ experiences ahead of time to coincide with your park days, ADRs, FP+, and SB+ experiences! I'm sure if you put some thought into it, you'll know exactly when you'll have to "go" 60 days out.

Seriously thought, when your RR+ window opens, get them scheduled because the choice times/locations will be gone. :thumbsup2

I believe that if you can't schedule your RR+ breaks when you really need/want them, there will be StandBy Bushes placed in strategic areas around the parks to pee in... Just look for the SBB signs along the way :thumbsup2

Yes, but you'll have to come back at a specified time to use those bushes, which may not work for you; especially if your Park Hopping. It really is just better to get online for the 1:00 AM virtual RR+ rope drop to get the choice times.

Seriously? If I get up at 1am to go to the trouble of making a FP+ then by God I'm going to use it whether I have to go 1 or 2.....that's my prerogative after all. I put in the time and effort and if I don't even have to use it at all, it better be there waiting for me anyway.

:rotfl2:

Maybe Disney could also start doing FP+ for the monorail....I really hate the long line when I'm tired and want to go home.

There are SOOO many minutes still unscheduled in my day, please Disney work on this so that I can plan everything 60 days out and not have to think while I'm at Disney or have a spontaneous thought.

So when we refer to "park hopping" going forward, does that apply to switching parks or the dance you do while in line for RR+?

Tread lightly here, this could open up a can of worms....this is analagous to taking a BoG reservation just for a cupcake versus a full dinner. Some are OK with it, some are not!!

Good point, it could mean both. I'll just say that if you've been responsible enough and put enough thought into scheduling your RR+ experiences 60 days out, your in park dancing should be kept to a minimum.:thumbsup2

Will I be limited to only one park each day for RR+? What if I want to "go" in a second park? Will I have to try for a RR+ by standing in line at a kiosk. What if everyone in my party isn't on the same "schedule". This going to get complicated. Do you think there is a chance of an extra RR+ magically showing up on MDE?

If you're going to a second park, you'll have to realize that the Tier 1 experiences will be long gone.....but not to worry, there will be plenty of the Tier 2 porta-potty experiences available! I've heard the scents they pipe into these experiences are better than the scents they use for Soarin:thumbsup2
