Yesterday my 6 yr old daughter had a doctors appointment. A little while before we had to leave the house I asked her to please go upstairs and change into a nice clean outfit. She was gone a pretty long time. Longer than it takes to just change your outfit. I had to go investigate.:magnify:

Apparently she was rooting around in her closet where I have some clothing bags stored. I am in a chain of "hand-me-down- friends". I have some things that were just given to me for her and her sister and some things that I have now bagged up to pass on to the next friend.

She came out in a pair of cute little shorts and a fresh blouse. I honestly didn't recognize the shorts so I asked her to lift her shirt up a bit so I could fully see them. I STILL didn't recognize them so I said turn around and let me look at the tag. Some of my friends put their last name or initials on the tags of things they want back. The waist of these shorts was really tight on her. So that was what I said to her "Aren't these shorts a little tight on you?"
She wears a size 5 or 6 and these little GAP shorts said 2T!

She looks over her little shoulder at me so sweetly and says "Oh no, Mommy. Once I got them over my hips they were FINE!"

Six years old and already thinking like a woman!

DS asked me why my tummy was getting bigger..then he went to pat his dad's tummy and asked..

"Oh, is daddy having a baby too?"

"Look Mom the dog has a new hat"

LOL Stacilee I think I just laughed my head off.

Speaking of the funny things kids say, does anyone read the section in Parents magazine (I think) where people write in to tell how witty their 2 yr old is?

My wife and I are convinced that a number of them each month are totally made up.

in Southern Baptist church. DD attended PLC (Preschool Learning Center) where we attend, no no, I teach a young married Sunday school class. One afternoon we receive a report of something our sweetie had said as she was attempting to tie her shoes so she can go to play time.
Laughing uncontrollably (sp) the teacher informed us DD had declaired shoe tying to be, "To dam# hard." :earseek: When asked where she had picked up on such a phrase she said and I quote, "mama." Dohhhhh:hyper:
