omg alex got thrown out of the game!!!!!!!

BOSTON -- A bench-clearing brawl broke out between the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox on Saturday after Bronson Arroyo hit Alex Rodriguez with a pitch in the top of the third inning.

Rodriguez stared down Arroyo as he started walking toward first, and then catcher Jason Varitek got between them. After some jawing, about 40 feet up the line, Varitek pushed Rodriguez in the face, and the dugouts and bullpens emptied.

Several scrums erupted, with Gabe Kapler battling Yankees starter Tanyon Sturtze, soon joined by Boston's Trot Nixon and David Ortiz. Sturtze was bleeding from the left ear.

Varitek and Rodriguez were ejected from the game by plate umpire Bruce Froemming. New York, which began the day 9½ games ahead of Boston in the AL East, led 3-0 at the time.

That was SO funny!!!! But, then the pitcher grabbed Kapler by the neck...and then Ortiz jumped on him. Too funny. Why he went after Gabe the body builder boy...I dunno. I woulda picked someone who might have actually been affected. Instead he ended up with the bloody ear!!


I can't wait for the game tomorrow...I have a feeling Pedro is going to set the tone early, if you KNOW what I mean

it was funny but so sad at the same time. poor arod baby!!!! i bet joe torre is mad!!! i dont think the yanks and the red sux can go a whole season without arguing with each other. remember last year ALCS?? omg pedro martinez throwing zimmer on the ground? how low can you sink really? i mean i think that's really sad. and he's going to "set the tone early" alright--the yanks r gonna cream him, score a lot of runs, and "set the tone" for another awesome yankee win!!!!!!! oh yeah, and who's that scary man in your siggie???--love emily

*shakes head* you must be blind. He's GORGEOUS It's adam Levine, the lead singer of Maroon 5. I just bought their cd, and he's a cutie, but I knew that before.


I meant he'd set the tone and bean somebody early.


Zimmer tried to punch pedro, and he was only defending himself though, so really, zimmer sunk the lowest. I don't want to get into this. Believe me, my best friend is a yankee, and I go through this with her ALL THE TIME. I like the red sox, and I like the yanks....
