Oh what a mess!!

DH and I ventured out to the garden shed the other day (we hadn't been inside for a while because of the snow blocking the doorway), only to discover that the shelf under the window had collapsed.

We had quite a few containers on the shelf, some of them with the soil still in them. Now we have a lot of container shards and soil on the floor! At least eight of the pots smashed too bits. I told DH to enjoy cleaning up the mess...lol. His shelf, his brackets, makes sense to me! ;) :)

LOL if he installed the shelf and brackets I would say that is a good call on the clean up. Sorry to hear about your pots but you know I think that calls for a trip to the Garden center to buy some new ones and maybe a few more to make up for the loss.....

Oh I agree Helopoh, lots of trips to the garden centres. It will be a great hardship to do all this shopping, but somehow, I'll manage! ;)

Oh dear, Kim! I hope none of the broken pots were fancy terra cotta ones. They can be $$$ to replace!

I too hope they weren't any of your special pots. Sounds to me like a job that needs to wait for spring. Too coooooold to clean up now.

Thankfully they weren't expensive containers, really just a pot pourri of pots....lol...groan..:)

Good idea to leave the mess until spring, that seems to be DH's plan so far. :)
