Okay, sorry!!!! I know that this is not directly about DCL, and there have been a lot of repeat questions about Atlantis lately. But, I think I have a new one.

Has anybody been to the Cove Beach at Atlantis? Can anyone compare this to the main beach where the beach towers are located?

On the Atlantis website, of course, it makes Cove beach sound like paradise.... "palm fringed" etc. Also, Cove Beach is right down from the Mayan Pools and Ripples kiddie pool area, which is like very convenient for us. (trying to avoid walking our legs off!!!:D )

Is there a view out to open sea, or is it actually a nearly enclosed cove. Are there just as many locals hassling guests?

Any input is much appreciated!

We went to Cove beach while we were at Atlantis on our Feb 2002 cruise. The main beach was closed due to rip tides...

The cove is almost completely enclosed but you do see open ocean as I remember It was really windy the day we were there and the cove was safer for the kids to swim and they did swim in the ocean most of the day, even though we had passes to the pools and slides! The beach was beautiful and plenty of lounge chairs too....

i do not remember being "hassled" at all. Most of the hairbraiders were at the entrance to the main beach....

We were there the day the Kelly and Regis were filming Live with Regis and Kelly and supposedly Carmen Electra was at the Cove beach earlier in the day....

So this may be why we did not see many people selling stuff on the beach...
