The could we?? should we?? PTR **12/9 **Home from WDW**

We have thought about a cruise on and off for a while. If you have the money and you want to do it, why not? I would love to read about your adventures.

It actually ends up being a little cheaper!! We have just never done one, so we are not sure about doing it, and which cruise line to go on... Of course Disney would follow with our vacation theme, but with it being almost double to cost, is it worth it?

I think we need to research the cruises and make a decision... We could also do the 4 night on Royal Caribbean that leaves the 29th and returns the morning of the 3rd... But that only leaves us 4.5 days in Disney!!

The 3 night leaves us 5 full days and 2 half days!

Do it....No kids ahhhh the relaxation!:cheer2: I would do the non disney though I guess it just depends on if you really want to go to the Disney Island Castaway Cay which is gonna be extra $$$ im sure. Meaning activites n shopping will probably be more expensive there. but again i could be wrong!?!?

Yeah i am trying to justify the extra cash for the disney one but I am not sure it's worth it to us without the kids with us!

i think the fun day at sea would be more benficial for us! Or the royal caribbean on goes to cococay and nassau...

If you want to know more about Disney cruises (longer than what you are wanting, but some things will be the same) Lifelong Dreamer, Lessa has a great TR on Enchanted that includes her cruise. The cruise portion starts here . I know Blueyed girl, Cherie did a 4 night cruise with her TR here.

MrsK... You da bomb...

Thanks... :)

FYI, I've been on 2 3-day cruises, 1 4-day cruises and 1 7-day cruise...DCL.

How was the 3 night?

If we did it then that would only leave us 5 full park days and 2 partial days... We are concerned that we would not be able to do the things we are wanting to do... But we have never been by ourselves so we don't know really what to expect...

Do you think 5 full days and 2 partials are enough time to tour the parks???

We just got home from bowling league... I will have to brag for a minute... I think this was one of my best nights I have ever had... I used to bowl all the time, heck I worked at a bowling alley for a few years, but I havn't bowled in about 2 years... I was asked a couple of weeks ago to fill in so this is my 3rd week of bowling...

My first game tonight was a 220... :thumbsup2

My next game was a 248... :yay:

I went into my 3rd game feeling pretty good... The first frame was a strike, and the next 8 were too... I had the first 9 strikes... All I needed was 3 more for a perfect 300.... The first ball in the 10th frame was a bad one... I left the worst split int he game, a 7/10 split :scared1: I got the 10 pin, but didn't quite get the 7...

My last game was a 266!

I am a little upset about it cause I was so close to a perfect game, but I feel good that I did so well, if that makes any sense... Oh well, always next time right? I have shot a couple 300's in the past, but never during league... The closest I have gotten in league is a 298, which I got a ring for doing... I wanted a 300 ring so bad I could taste it, but maybe next week...

Thanks :goodvibes You have the greatest Smilies collection... I was a little nervous towards the end of that last game, but I did a good job hiding it...

:cheer2: :yay: :woohoo:

Awesome games Terry!!! Toni texted me while you were bowling, but I been having some pretty rough days with Devon not feeling well so I crashed at like 8pm my time!!! :scared1: Didn't even hear the alert... Now that is bad! :rotfl:

Toni text me later!!! :goodvibes

TrenD does have the purses, but I was trying to find somewhere close to Contemporary since that is where we will have dinner that night...

When we were there in December, I saw the purses at the Grand Floridian. I think it was at Summer Lace.

I got mine on Main Street, but I also saw them at DTD at Tren-D and World of Disney. I think there were one or two other places, but can't remember where off the top of my head.

I don't know what it means, but...DJ and I have been on four Disney cruises and Emma hasn't been on one, yet. Does that make me a bad Mommy? :rolleyes1

Of course, only one of them was after she was born, and she does get to go on the Alaskan cruise with us next year.

How were the cruises? Is a Disney Cruise worth double the money?

Had a great time texting with you last night. I hope you are having a great day.

We are really having a hard time with what to do in regards to the cruise...

Is 5 full day and 2 partial days enough for park touring???

Is a 3 night cruise going to be long enough on the boat or leave us disappointed?

Ugh...

We want to see a few of the resorts at Christmas time also and we all know Terry will be taking a ton of pics...

I think it would break down to

2 full Epcot days
1.5 Magic Kingdom days
1.5 Hollywood Studios days
1 Animal Kingdom day

We could keep Park Hoppers on our tickets and be able to hope from on to the other to get in more time at a different park..

I do want to hit DTD but they seem to be open later then the parks so that should be fine...

If we did this plan we would take out some meals we planned on paying for OOP since they would take more park time out, and we would just go with the standard dining plan for the portion before the cruise and then pay OOP for meal for the last couple of nights after the cruise...

What is everyone's opinions on this one?? We have people here saying that we should totally do it, but none of them are Disney fanatics so they don't know anything about the parks...

Morning!!! I guess it may be afternoon where you are... Are you 2 hours ahead of me??

I had an awesome time last night! I can get kind of bored at bowling, but I love going and watching him... So it was nice to have someone to talk to! I so wish they had wifi there... I could have been DISing!!!

Thanks.... I hope little man feels better soon...

For us, I think it's worth it. DJ has never gone on any other cruise line, and tells me he never will. :snooty: The only other line I have cruised with is Holland America in Alaska, and I loved them, but they're about the same price wise as Disney. Given a choice, I think I would still do Disney.

My parents went on a Carnival cruise last month and really enjoyed themselves...I'm not really helping any, am I? :rolleyes1

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Nope, no help at all!!!

OFF WITH HER HEAD!!!

What kind of staterooms have you stayed in?? If we did Disney we would only be in an inside stateroom, do you think we would be okay there?

We've only done cabins with the Navigator's Verandahs, but have travelled with friends that have done the inside staterooms. I think you would be great there! Their inside rooms are very spacious. Especially on a shorter cruise and being your first time, you really won't spend much time in your room. There's way too much going on!!! The only advice I would have is to pick your location carefully if you're a light sleeper. There are a few spots that are louder than others (i.e., right under the clubs, or near the engine room, etc.).
